Splinterlands - Taming Yodin Zaku By Using Another Legendary Summoner

Hello Friends,

We all know how to beat the opponent by using Yodin Zaku as summoner, which is no doubt, the most dangerous summoner among all, may be I should say, after Archmage Arius?
Well, I leave that discussion to you, but my point here was, we all know how to win battles using Yodin Zaku, but when we are at the receiving end, i.e when we have Yodin Zaku used by opponent, we always think whether we win.
Here is one such battle I won using Chanseus The Great summoner and there was a bit of help from opponent too with his monsters selection.
Let us see the details below:

Yodin Zaku, the mere site of seeing it in the battle will make us feel some kind of uneasiness as it's the summoner which induces abilities like blast and increases the health and ranged attack in all the friendly monsters.

Here is the battle link and a screenshot as we can see above just to give an idea about the monsters used and the battle rule sets with MANA cap.
As we can see, the battle was with maximum MANA cap of 99 and had a ruleset of not to use legendary monsters via rule set of Lost Legendaries.
Here is my lineup for this battle!!!!!

Lineup:

1. Shieldbearer:

Ninety Nine MANA cap encouraged me to go with Chanseus The Great summoner and the reason to use Sieldbearer was to attract all the attack towards one monster as this has that special taunt ability and keep other monsters safe for longer battle to protect them from sneak and snipe attack.
This is also with those huge number of armors and on top of that, it has shield ability too to get lesser attack from melee and ranged attack monsters.

2. Silvershield Knight:

Inspiring all the melee monsters I used was my next priority and this monster gives that with inspire ability besides acting as a backup front monster since it is also having armors and has that additional ability of pierce to reduce main health along with armors.

3. Sand Worm:

Whenever I use Life splinter, this and Silvershield Assassin will there in my lineups, because, with Shieldbearer in the front and with Chanseus The Great summoner, I always feel safe to keep the 2 mentioned monsters in lineup to attack from the back end and keep removing monsters one by one, no matter how strong the front monster is.

4. Silvershield Assassin:

Like I said above, this will be a sure starter in my lineups whenever I use Life splinter.
It's poison ability along with double attack makes it the best to attack from back.

5. Divine Healer:

Healer for this lineup and also the monster with ability to slowdown opponent's monsters
Most of the time, this monster dies before the battle gets completed, but luckily, with Chanseus The Great summoner, we have the option of healing a second line monster and most of the time, it gets healed to stay alive.

6. Silvershield Sheriff:

Use this whenever I use Chanseus The Great summoner for the reason that, it adds armors to all monsters, which, the summoner doesn't give.

Opponent as I mentioned, used Yodin Zaku summoner with his monsters Serpentine Soldier, Gelatinous Cube, Goblin Shaman, Spark Pixies, Ettin Spearman and Tortisian Chief.

Battle:

Round 1:

The moment I saw Yodin Zaku as summoner, I calculated that, the Silvershield Knight will be in danger early in the battle because of the blast attack from all monsters which will be attracted by Shieldbearer.
Luckily, Silvershield Knight survived this round and opponent lost the last monster on his lineup i.e. Tortisian Chief and that was the only monster to be removed.
Infact, it was an achievement not to loose any of my monsters inspite of presence of Yodin Zaku.

Round 2:

I lost Opponent lost 2 more monsters in this round and I was feeling like whether I have used Yodin Zaku? Well, yeah, that was the feeling.
Actually, the Silvershield Knight got removed and was resurrected by Chanseus The Great in between and opponent's Ettin Spearman and Spark Pixies were removed by the sneak attack from Silvershield Assassin and Sand Worm.

Round 3:

It was time for Goblin Shaman to go in this round and with just 2 more monsters remaining for opponent, it was a great chance to keep all the monsters intact for me.

Round 4:

Gelatinous Cube's usage in this battle felt unjustified because, it has to go in this round even before getting to front and that means, only the Serpentine Soldier remained for the opponent.

Round 5:

Interesting point to be noted in this whole battle of 5 rounds, Shieldbearer wasn't able to hit the Serpentine Soldier even once!!!
Definitely, Serpentine Soldier is a good weapon as a front monster when there is no magic attack.
The battle got over as Sand Worm got rid of Serpentine Soldier.

I never expected that, I can win this easily against Yodin Zaku, but, opponent's usage of monsters was also helpful in this case with usage of Gelatinous Cube instead of a monster with attack and also usage of just 2 ranged attack monsters with Yodin Zaku as summoner.
May be he felt that, with Goblin Shaman he can give more chance of attacking First by his monsters, but that was nullified with slow ability from Divine Healer to make it even.
It will be very rare that, the opponent uses Yodin Zaku and all his monsters gets removed and on the other side, all monsters will be intact.

So, can we safely say that, Chanseus The Great is a great weapon to tame Yodin Zaku?

Thanks and Have a great week ahead :)
