First of all, if you are from India or surrounding country, a Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to you!!! as we celebrate the festival of Lord Ganesh, here I continue with a blog for this week's SHARE YOUR BATTLE challenge with theme monster of Wave Runner.

Well, Wave Runner is the permanent Second position monster for me being a reach ability monster and this monster is from Water Splinter and is a melee attack one with common type and is a Rewards edition monster.

The stats for this monster are something which are powerful as it has good speed, good attack and even good enough health for a 5 MANA cost monster.
The melee attack for this starts at 2 and it gets upgraded to 3 when 30 cards are combined to take it to level 4 and in level 10 with 400 cards combined, it's attack increases to 4!!!
In the era of more inspire monsters, we can always increase the attack to even more.
The speed is what we can proudly say about this monster as it starts with 3 speed and in level 2 itself the speed increases to 4 and when we upgrade it to level 6, the speed increases to 5!!!!
Let's see about the health this monster will have at different levels.
It starts with 4 health which gets to 5 from level 3 and to 6 at level 7 and from level 8 onwards, it stays at 7 speed!!!!
This monster will have 3 powerful abilities in reach, knock out and snare.
While the reach ability (to attack from Second position) is available from level 1 itself, we need to upgrade this to level 5 with 60 cards to get knock out (double attack on a stunned monster) ability and finally, it will get snare (removing flying ability) ability from level 9.

Battle and Lineup:

This was one of those medium MANA cost battles with 22 MANA cap and had a single rule set of target practice meaning, the ranged and magic monsters will target the ranged and magic monsters from Second line.
Since the MANA cap was less, I thought of not using any magic or ranged attack monsters and used all the melee attack monsters with my lineup as below.

Lineup:

1. Sea Monster:

Used this self healing monster as it is with good health and also gives good melee attack of 5.
Besides it's attack and healing and health, it can also throw back the thorns when a melee attack monster attacks it.

2. Wave Runner:

I used the theme monster of the week at Second position as it is a reach ability monster and gives a good attack of 3 and this is one of the fastest with 4 speed.

3. Cocatrice:

Used this flying monster in Third position to just protect the next monster Feasting Seaweed from getting exposed early.
The other reason I used this is because this one being a flying monster, it can evade the attack from melee and ranged attack monsters as it also has dodge ability.

4. Feasting Seaweed:

This opportunity and scavenger ability monster can be very handy as it keeps increasing it's health with each monster getting removed and also keeps removing the monsters with low health because of it's opportunity ability.

5. Furious Chicken:

Lastly, our favorite monster Furious Chicken is used to cover the back end for any sneak attack.

Opponent used Fire Splinter with monsters Exploding Dwarf, Aganju, Goblin Shaman, Fire Elemental, Spark Pixies and Creeping Ooze.

Battle:

This being medium MANA cap battle, usual expectation is that, it may last a couple of rounds but it 4 rounds to complete the battle with Feasting Seaweed ending and winning the battle for me but the theme monster of Wave Runner added no value as it got removed in the First round.
Here I go with round by round details.

Round 1:

With opponent using monsters with better speed and also there was Goblin Shaman to further reduce the speed of the monsters I used, Sea Monster and Wave Runner couldn't survive to have their First attack and that brought Cocatrice to the front which saved the day and battle for me and First round also saw the end of opponent's monsters Exploding Dwarf and Aganju which was a big relief for me as it equaled the loss of Sea Monster and Wave Runner for me.

Round 2:

With both ranged attack monsters missing to hit for opponent, the Cocatrice survived this round and it along with Feasting Seaweed got rid of opponent's Goblin Shaman.

Round 3:

With Spark Pixies not able to hit the Cocatrice one more time, the battle was over in this round as Cocatrice and Feasting Seaweed combined again to remove Fire Elemental and that brought Spark Pixies, the last monster for opponent to the front position.

Round 4, 5 and 6:

It was the turn of Spark Pixies to evade the attack as it kept evading one of the 2 monsters in each round of 4 and 5 but it has to bow out in round 6 to end the battle.

Questions and Answers:

Did my strategy work? What will I try differently next time?

When I lost Sea Monster and Wave Runner before they could attack, I had my doubts, but, Cocatrice was a hero for me as it thwarted all the attacks from Spark Pixies and Fire Elemental to win the battle for me and yes, I felt this was a good combination to win the battle with even Feasting Seaweed contributing well.

Do I like the WAVE RUNNER? Why or why not?

As I said in my First statement, Wave Runner has been a regular for me whenever I use Water Splinter because of it's speed and attack.
I continue to use it whenever there is an opportunity to use Water splinter.

Well, that was it as part of this week's challenge. Although the theme monster contributed Zero percent to this win, it was a good win for me with Cocatrice showcasing it's strength of evading the attack.

Thanks and Have a good day :)
