It's that day of the week in which I find the most interesting Splinterlands experience I've had over the past week to share! That fits in perfectly with the theme of the weekly Splinterlands Social Media Challenge too!
But first, a quick look at what happened this week in the world of crypto.
It is another good and steady week for crypto and BTC in general. Ethereum ETFs have been approved and the soundbites coming out from the American presidential campaign seem to be one of embracing crypto (at least from Trump's side). If the promise to make BTC a strategic reserve of the USA is actually carried out, the sky's the limit here! Of course, I could be completely wrong too, so, please do not heed my advice for your own investment purposes! 😜📈🚀
A brief introduction before I start though...
Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) I've made it a point to blog about my weekly progress and experiences in Splinterlands/HIVE in my "weekly diary". Splinterlands & HIVE are what I'd consider to be my entry point into the World of Crypto, and I intend to use this as a means to look back on the path I've taken in the years ahead.⏳⏳⏳
This is now the 140th consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. I talk about what has gone on my personal Splinterlands playing experience, my weekly Guild Brawl Reports, and also any Splinterlands ingame news. 🎉🥳🎊
No week goes by in Splinterlands without some news event happening though. And here's my pick of some of the most interesting ones in my opinion. 📰📰📰

This week's Social Media Challenge is all about sharing our remarkable Splinterlands moments. I'd have shared my daily and weekly activities in the past, BUT, usually, nothing really special really happens in my daily Splinterlands daily grind, so let's hope this is more interesting for reading?... let's get down to it! 🤣
This week’s update introduces a game-changing feature in Splinterlands: 1-Click Set Rentals! Players can now easily list and rent sets of cards, starting with the Chaos Legion Starter Set. Here’s a detailed rundown of everything you need to know to get started with set rentals and make the most of your Splinterlands experience.
1-Click Set Rentals:
- New feature for listing and renting card sets for seasonal rental.
- Initial template: Chaos Legion Core + Reward cards.
- Available after purchasing a Spellbook.
New Sections:
- Set Rentals: Market -> Set Rentals link.
- Card Sets: Items -> Card Sets link.
- Ensure Last Played autofill is set to more than 3 days for immediate listing.
Set Rentals: FAQ Highlights:
- Available Sets: Currently only Chaos Legion Starter Set (Core + Non-Soulbond Reward cards).
- Minimum Card Levels: Commons (3), Rares (2), Epics (2), Legendaries (1).
- Time Constraints: Season Rentals only.
- With 7+ days left in season: active until end of current season.
- With <7 days left: active through end of next season.
- Cannot be canceled until end of specified season.
Viewing Sets:
- Set Rentals Tab: Market icon.
- Card Sets Tab: Items icon.
- Toggle to Create, Rent, or Manage Sets.
Creating and Listing Sets:
- Create page -> Click Create -> Use Auto-fill.
- Fill gaps by combining/purchasing cards.
- Last Played autofill setting must be more than 3 days ago.
Renting Sets:
- Rent page -> Click Rent -> Select DEC or Credits for payment.
Deleting and Delisting Sets:
- Click Delist -> Click Delete.
Managing Sets:
- View created, listed, and rented sets.
- Edit, list, delete, and renew sets.
- View rental history with the rental history icon.
Editing Sets:
- Only non-rented sets can be edited.
- Delist rented sets to edit after the rental period finishes.
- Must have replacement cards to fill gaps.
Identifying Cards in Sets:
- Use In Sets filter on the collection page.
- Click In Set icon within the Status column.
- Edit set to remove card.
Onboarding Set Rentals:
- Prompted to rent the cheapest set after purchasing a Spellbook.
Renewing Sets:
- Notification 2 days before rental expires.
- Eligible sets will have a green Renew button; ineligible sets will be grey.
My quest for more Gold Foil Legendary cards from my rewards chests "The New Glint Shop" continues on ("Greed is Good!" 😈). It's STILL a 0.008% chance, at base level, ridiculously low chance to pull a legendary gold foil, in case you were wondering 😉. Here's to more jackpot strikes in the future (i hope) 🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀.

The introduction of 1-Click Set Rentals in Splinterlands is definitely set to completely change how players manage their cards. By simplifying the process of renting and listing sets, this update offers greater flexibility and convenience. Whether you’re a new player or a seasoned veteran, these features ensure you can maximize your in-game strategy with ease!
I definitely can appreciate how this quality of life feature will make everything more streamlined and convenient for players. Personally, I might not need ALL the cards in a set, but for the convenience offered, I am definitely willing to pay slightly more. After all, like they say, time is money! 👍🏻
