It's that day of the week in which I find the most interesting Splinterlands experience I've had over the past week to share! That fits in perfectly with the theme of the weekly Splinterlands Social Media Challenge too!
But first, a quick look at what happened this week in the world of crypto.
It's been a pretty bad month for crypto overall. After the large alt coin drops from the previous week, this week saw BTC crash down to below 60k levels. All this was no thanks to the news that the infamous Mount Gox would finally be releasing a flood of BTC into the market — $8 billion worth of it in fact! I'd like to look on the bright side and think it is an opportunity to continue accumulating more at lower prices. Of course, I could be completely wrong too, so, please do not heed my advice for your own investment purposes! 😜📈🚀
A brief introduction before I start though...
Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) I've made it a point to blog about my weekly progress and experiences in Splinterlands/HIVE in my "weekly diary". Splinterlands & HIVE are what I'd consider to be my entry point into the World of Crypto, and I intend to use this as a means to look back on the path I've taken in the years ahead.⏳⏳⏳
This is now the 136th consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. I talk about what has gone on my personal Splinterlands playing experience, my weekly Guild Brawl Reports, and also any Splinterlands ingame news. 🎉🥳🎊
No week goes by in Splinterlands without some news event happening though. And here's my pick of some of the most interesting ones in my opinion. 📰📰📰

This week's Social Media Challenge is all about sharing our remarkable Splinterlands moments. I'd have shared my daily and weekly activities in the past, BUT, usually, nothing really special really happens in my daily Splinterlands daily grind, so let's hope this is more interesting for reading?... let's get down to it! 🤣
This week has been full of announcements from Splinterlands. The biggest one of them all is about the long awaited release of Soulkeep, the Tower Defence Splinterlands game which has been 2 years in the making! 😱
The next one is is more or less a continuation of last week's action against bots. It seems like the Splinterlands team is finally starting to get serious about their enforcement on the eradication of all bots from the game. This has obviously affected the SPS price, but proponents of this measure believe it is in the long term interests of the game. Who will be right? Only time will tell.
Anyway, here's a point form summary of the announced news. Hopefully, I haven't missed out too much of it and got the gist of it correct.

🗼 Soulkeep Released
- New tower defense game by Double Coconut.
- Packs can be opened and cards combined via the interface.
- Link added to navigation bar.
- Lock cards to make them usable in-game.
🛠️ Tech Modernization
- Tournament section moved to the new client.
🎮 Gameplay Updates
- Expose ability now randomizes the exposed ability after Immunity.
🔊 General Updates
- Sound effects added to Reward Shop draw opening animation.
- New setting for displaying numbers using local browser styling (e.g., periods instead of commas).
- Gold Foil/Regular Foil selection now persists.
- Extend lock days on cards without unlocking them first.
- Fixed issue with removing shares from the Trade Hub.
- Resolved undelegation impacting collection power values incorrectly.
- Fixed Mana filtering reset issue on Team Creation in mobile display.
- Corrected sorting issue of 0-cost cards in Collection by Mana cost.
- Added clearer imagery to Combine All warning.
- Updated Non-Card market text for Titles and Totems with land bonus information.
- Clarified Repair ability description: restores a maximum of 2 armor.
📢 Important Announcement: Enforcement of Fair Play Policy 📢
- Increased enforcement of Fair Play Policy to ensure competitive play.
- Applies to Modern Format Battles, Tournament Battles, Guild Brawl Battles.
- Prohibited conduct includes:
- No automation during active battles.
- No external help (bots, plugins, browser extensions, analysis tools).
- No win-trading.
- Violating accounts may face bans from certain formats or Splinterlands services.
- Third-party tools & services restrictions:
- No automation during active battles.
- No data pulling from Splinterlands APIs or other sources.
- No external help during active battles.
- Violating third-party tools may lose access to Splinterlands services.
My quest for more Gold Foil Legendary cards from my rewards chests "The New Glint Shop" continues on ("Greed is Good!" 😈). It's STILL a 0.008% chance, at base level, ridiculously low chance to pull a legendary gold foil, in case you were wondering 😉. Here's to more jackpot strikes in the future (i hope) 🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀.

I definitely can appreciate how utilising the most of your deck's strengths can lead to unexpected outcomes. This is one of those situations in which Davids can beat Goliaths if surrounded with the proper team. The role every single carefully selected unit brings to the battlefield will give a player the edge in squeezing out every tiny advantage to get the win. 👍🏻
