Battle report with Nerissa Tridawn

Intro

A proud warrior of the water, that watched over seas and saves lives doing this.
Nice card this week.
It is not in every play of mine but it has certain good synergy with ruleset like .

Water is such a versatile splinter it really shine with melee and magic and even with range it has some decent setup in combination with Kelya or Lux really strong. At this point Kelya is still the most expensive rare CL summoners.

THEME: NERISSA TRIDAWN

Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: EPIC

Stats

Mine is at level 3, it got a extra health and a extra speed.
I really want to upgrade with so it get the extra damage. but currently for one card 10bcx it is 17$. Upgrading from silver to gold i find it hard/lot of money involved.

Strategy

image.png

Back to basic and Noxious fumes makes it always hard. So monsters with cleanse and immunity are not countering poison. This leaves us with high health monsters with high armor. Then comes cripple into play, so when you select high armor monster this still reduces 1 health when a monsters is hit because of the cripple. So select monster with plain high health is the strategy. Here is where Nerissa Tridawn comes into play.

Rulesets

Back to basic
All monsters lose their abilities.

Tis but scratches
All monsters gain the cripple ability. Each time an enemy is hit by a monster with Cripple it loses one max health.

Noxious fumes
All monster will have the poison ability. After every turn 2 damage will be done to all monsters.
This normally can be countered with immunity, this makes the monster immune to poison or cleanse which removes the poison state. Only in this case because of the back to basic rules set this is not possible.

The Lineup

Summoner

CardReason
My number one summoner and in this rulesets very important with the +1 health

Monsters Lineup

1st2nd3rd4th5th6th

Wave Brood (lvl 4):
It is in the team especially for the high health and close range. Later when the battle started i noticed i made a mistake with the back to basic rules it is just a sitting 🦆. Should have placed it more to the back.

Baakjira (lvl 3):
High health and meat shield so the damage dealers have time to kill the other monster.

Runemance Kye (lvl 1):
Medium health als with the shield it can withhold some melee/range attack

Djinn Oshannus (lvl 3):
Again high health good speed so when slow monster are selected by my opponent is also has a chance to put in some misses.

Nerissa Tridawn (lvl 3):
Star of this week. High health high damage perfect for these rulesets. Placed in the back line because there is not sneak play possible so it is alive for while. Also some strategy rule with these ruleset i tend to follow is higher health+armor monster in the front.

Magi of Chaos(lvl 1):
Damage dealer in the back lower health therefor after the Nerissa Tridawn

Rounds

Start :

Similar setup also high health. I have a advantage with my Lux that is giving a extra health to all monsters. I got a bit more magic damage but i have made a mistake placing the Wave brood in the front because of the back to basic ruleset it will not have the normal close range ability. So it will not be able to fire in the front.

Round 1:

image.png
Strong magic round killing my opponents Diemonshark completly ignoring the shields.
all my opponent shield have no impact. Also my runemance kye shield has no impact.

Round 2:

image.png
Looking strong. The 3 damage from both Nerissa Tridawn's are definitely determining the battle.
And because is also put the Magi of Chaos in play, with also 3 damage i have an advantage.

Round 3:

image.png
Increasing my lead position. More monsters, more damage, higher health this game is over.
Also noticing that the cripple in combination with no healer and only magic is not useful and can be ignored in this game setup.

Round 4:

There it is the unavoidable win.

Conclusion

Nice battle similar setups. In this battle Nerissa Tridawn really made a difference with the high health and high damage.

In the beginning these challenge helped me understanding the game better. It still does, you take more time to analyze battle more in depth, this helps. Last few battle report also lured me towards the lore. Take some time to read the lore about the monsters.
