This is a post to the Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge! I regularly post strategies on thematic rules to keep my mind clear and to help you in your battles. Now, this time, the challenge is Taking Sides. A rule where neutrals, many of which are often used units, are not allowed. Now, I am looking forward to seeing how the battle will turn out!

Here are the rules for this battle.
Back to Basics and Equaliser rule set in addition to Taking Sides. The cost cap is 12, and all elements are allowed. The league is Modern Diamond. This is a low-cost battle.

今回取り上げるバトルのルールはこちら。
Taking Sidesに加えて、Back to BasicsとEqualiserのルールセット。コストキャップは１２。全てのエレメントが使用可能です。リーグはモダンダイヤモンドです。低コストバトルですね。

Is this the low cost neutral unit that you would want to use, I don't have any cards other than CHAOS AGENT so it doesn't really matter, but it means that the opponent won't use it either. I will consider my strategy on that basis.

低コストのニュートラルユニットで使いたくなるのはこちらでしょうか。CHAOS AGENT以外のカードは私持ってないのであまり関係ないですが、相手も使ってこないということ。それを考慮して戦略を考えていきます。

✈︎What strategy did I come up with?

First, being a low-cost battle and an Equaliser, I thought I could fill my slots well with low-cost units. On top of that, being Back to Basics, I decided on a strategy that focuses mainly on magic and ranged attacks. Here is the team and strategy I put together.I didn't fill all the slots.

まず、低コストバトル、Equaliserであることから低コストユニットで枠をしっかり埋められるように考えます。そのうえBack to Basicsであることから魔法や遠距離攻撃を主にした戦略と決めた。以下が私の組んだチームと戦略です。枠は全部埋まらなかったけど。

My Team	Strategy
	I wasn't sure if I would go with Quix the Devil for Summoner, but the one cost difference was significant, and my priority was to fill the slot well. Besides, I was sure to include a magic attack. サモナーはQUIX THE DEVIOUSにするか迷ったけど、１コストの差が大きく、しっかり枠を埋めることを優先。それに魔法も必ず入れてくると踏んでいた。
	I figured a durable tank was important.I was a little hesitant because the Inspire would be wasted, but I also wanted the Void. とにかく低コストユニットの編成を心がける。スピードもそこそこあるので先頭にした。
	Zero cost units are of course an essential factor. You have to include them even if they can't attack. 0コストユニットももちろん必須要因。攻撃できなくても入れるしかないよな。
	From here, the unit was organized to attack well. This is the only low-cost unit available. ここからはしっかり攻撃できるようにユニットを編成した。低コストで使えるユニットはこれしかない。
	I chose the black elemental because of this unit. At cost 3, ranged attack 4 is strong, and I figured it could attack well even if QUIX THE DEVIOUS was used. Speed is a bit of a concern. 黒のエレメントにしたのはこのユニットがいたから。コスト３で遠距離攻撃４は強い。QUIX THE DEVIOUSを使われてもしっかり攻撃できると考えた。スピードは少し不安。
	The last row is placed magic so that it can attack to the end, level 6, but it can't be helped; it is Back to Basics, so the only difference from level max is 1 life less. 最後まで攻撃できるように最後列は魔法を配置、レベルが６なのだが、仕方ない。Back to Basicsなのでレベルマックスとの違いはライフ１少ないだけ。

My opponent used QUIX THE DEVIOUS which I was also unsure about. I was a little worried about the speed, but I was sure of victory when I defeated PELACOR CONJURER in the lead, and you placed magic in the last row. I wonder if you had a slight advantage in putting in a melee attack...Back to Basics is a difficult balance in that area, isn't it? Nice fight!

相手は私も迷ったQUIX THE DEVIOUSを使用してきた。スピードが少し不安だったが、先頭のPELACOR CONJURERを倒した時点で勝利を確信、最後列に魔法を置いてきましたね。近接攻撃の入れ方でも少し優位だったでしょうか。Back to Basicsってその辺りのバランスが難しいですよね。ナイスファイト！
