Hello Splinterlands fans!
It has been a rough week for the community but we are in this together and this too shall pass.
Today we are going to talk about my experience about a battle featuring Dhampir Infiltrator, the card from the Dragon Splinter that is overlooked by many.

ABOUT THE CARD :
When we think of cards from the Dragon splinter, the first thing that comes to our mind is expensive high mana cards with Flying ability.
But that is not the case for the card we are going to talk about today.

Edition: CHAOS LEGION REWARD
Rarity: RARE
Element: DRAGON
Attack: MELEE
Abilities:
Sneak
Double Strike
Cripple
Affliction

Dhampir Infiltrator is a 4 mana Chaos Legion Reward card from the Dragon splinter. It is basically a melee damage dealer that sneaks it's way to kill off te enemy back line.

Though at level 1, the card seems weak with mere 1 melee damage, 2 speed and 2 hp but it's strength lies in it's Sneak and Double Strike which she inherits from the very first level.
At the higher levels the card becomes a solid damage dealer once she gets 2 melee damage for each strike at level 4. At level 5, she gets the ability of Cripple and at the highest level she gets Affliction both of which are amazing counter to those annoying Triage line ups.
Now, let's dive into today's battle.

THE LINE UP :

For our summoner we went for a level 3 Quix the Devious, the Chaos Legion Dragon summoner that inflicts - 1 to archery and -1 to speed to the opponent deck. This was the first summoner that I maxed out for gold league as being a Dragon summoner, it would bring a lot of diversity to our deck.

At position one, we have the mini tank from the Earth splinter, Hill Giant.
I have the card at level 6, which comes with 2 melee damage, 2 speed, 7 hp.
Not bad at all for mana cost of 3. And at the top of that it also has Stun ability.

At position two, we have a level 8 Pelacor Mercenary. At this level, the card is having 3 melee damage, 4 speed, 1 armor and 10 hp with the Flying and Heal abilities.
Though this card is available for 1 cent per bcx, the stats and abilities of the card is way better and getting a max copy while it is still in print is a must in my opinion.

At position three, we have another reward card, a level 5 Uraeus.
This again is a cheap card with a lot of utility.
For mana cost of 3, the card comes with 3 melee damage, 4 speed, 1 armor and 4 hp along with the Sneak and Poison.
Being a neutral card with such amazing abilities this is one of my most used card.

In the next position, we have placed our card of the week, Dhampir Infiltrator.
For our battle we will be using a level 6 copy of the card having 3 speed, 4 hp and 2 melee damage with Double Strike Sneak
and Cripple.
Her alongside Uraeus makes a nice team and we will be able to deal serious damage to enemy back line.

In the fifth position, we have a gold foil level 3 Mycelic Morphoid. The 1 mana card is more than a mere meat shield with 1 melee damage, 1 speed, 2 hp as it comes with
Thorns ability which will be a great Sneak as well as Opportunity protection against melee opponents.

In the last position, we have placed a level 3 Djinn Biljka, one of my go to cards in low mana Opportunity rule set simply due to it's Camouflage ability so that it can spam 2 magic damage each turn to the enemy with lowest hp while it can not be hit by the opponent.
For only 3 mana, the card also has Void for magic reflect protection and Weaken as well.
Definitely, one more solid reward card.

THE HIGHLIGHTS :

  • Round 1:

In the first round, the Xenith Monk from the opponent deck takes out our Mycelic Morphoid and Grund takes out our Hill Giant putting us in the back foot.
But Dhampir Infiltrator soon comes to the rescue eliminating Xenith Monk with her first hit in the battle.

  • Round 2:

Though we started the round strong as our Uraeus inflicts poison from it's hit on Grund, Grund later eliminated Uraeus with his 2 heavy blows of 4 melee damage. We however, were back in the match as Dhampir Infiltrator again takes revenge by getting her second kill off the match in the form of Grund.
Looks like, we are one round away from our victory.

  • Round 3:

And, surely in this round we get our victory as our Djinn Biljka eliminates opponent's Pelacor Mercenary from the last hit of the round.

DID MY STRATEGY WORK?
Yes, the strategy worked out very nicely.
The strategy was to have the Hill Giant and Mycelic Morphoid protecting our main damage dealers as the damage dealers specially our star card Dhampir Infiltrator gets the kills. And surely, the Dhampir Infiltrator gets 2 important kills winning us the battle.

Do I like the Dhampir Infiltrator? Why or why not?
Yes!!
Dhampir Infiltrator is one of my favorite Reward card that I always play specially in low mana matches and Little Leagues rule set. teaming her up with another
Sneak monster like Uraeus we used in this battle is one of my go to strategies and it works out very well most of the time.
