Los brazos del amor
los que no me alumbraron temprano
están en mi universo
de cualquier modo
brillando.
Tengo letanías
las padezco
pero son buenas/
Murmuran que no caiga
que camine hacia la luz.
Los brazos del amor son los míos
que se aferran a crear, como a otros brazos
que sueltan o abarcan
y me recuerdan que tengo una sola vida hoy
para hacer lo bueno, lo justo.
Es preciso que aprenda a mirar
sin pánico
cómo el tiempo arrastra lo vivido
cómo se dejan ir las cosas ligeras de peso, pero no de alma
y con este propósito acepto mi levedad.
Es más ancha la dicha si no hay cerrojos
si de sus entrañas el trasiego no encuentra mayor alegría
que lo libre, lo eterno.
Quiero alzar estos brazos y que de sus límites
broten bichitos con alas, espejitos y toda suerte de amuletos
que toda esa ternura me acaricie y me mime
para luego ir en pos de aquellos
que anhelan el amor
sin saber que ya les habita.

Love's arms
The arms of love
those who did not light me early
are in my universe
in any way
shining.
I have litanies
I suffer them
but they are good/
They whisper not to fall
to walk towards the light.
The arms of love are mine
that clings to create, like other arms
that release or embrace
and remind me that I have only one life today
to do what is good, what is right.
I must learn to look
without panic
how time drags away what has been lived
how things that are light in weight, but not in soul, are let go.
and with this purpose, I accept my levity.
Happiness is ampler if there are no locks
if from its entrails the flow finds greater joy
only in the free, the eternal.
I want to raise these arms and from their limits
sprout little bugs with wings, little mirrors and all kinds of amulets.
that all that tenderness caresses me and pampers me
and then go after those
who yearn for love
without knowing that it already inhabits them.
