Is it Wrong to be True?

What society tells has became very important to everyone. Even though you are not that kind of person, you can be that one. Your appearance, your actions are being judged already even though you just want to be true to yourself. All you want is to show them what you really feel inside through words and actions. Yet they'd think you don't deserve good treatment. You are being hated already for who you are because they wanted you to be the person you don't want to be.

You don't want to be with everyone because you prefer silence and peace but they misunderstood. They'd think you're arrogant, boastful, and rude for being like that. They easily judge someone without thinking about their own behavior. Imagine when you don't want to interact or talk, they'd get mad or disappointed because you're a boring guy. They stupidly misunderstood you even though you never ask them back why they are so confident or show-off.

In this world, we are not all the same. We have differences, just like the point of view of life. Don't forget that even though we all have the same 2 eyes, what we see is different. We have 2 feet but it doesn't mean we should walk on the same path. Someone's happiness is not your happiness. We never know that when a person smiles at the same time and situation as you, there is no guarantee that for the same reason as yours. Who knows he just smiled because he/she wanted to fake it to avoid conflict. Society is very important and he just didn't want to be isolated or else he would suffer.

Sometimes I ask, "Is it a sin to be true to yourself?" Why is it hard to show the real you outside? As if you are not free for what you want to be. You are not a slave or owned by someone and yet why we should be mindful of our actions and words. We are like actors/actresses in the movies that every action and word we do are scripted. That's why there are those people who get tired of living. They are tired because they feel like someone is holding their necks. It's very suffocating.

We should not be like that. We should respect everyone's choices, the kind of life they wanted to be. If they choose to be like that, let them be. We should understand that all of us have our own reasons. Don't think they're being exaggerated or whatsoever. If they smile or cry, we have no right to intervene. We don't know their stories anyway so it's better to stay out of it. It's their life so it means it's their own business to take care of.

If you have that much spare time to judge others then why not use it in doing good things? If you are that concerned as well why not teach yourself to understand other people? You should learn how to value people's way of life. Don't force your ideal happenings to be the same as others. It's yours but not theirs. Remember that living in this world will never be lovelier when we can do all the things we want.
