We started to climb, there was nothing left to see below. The staircase was quite deteriorated, so we had to walk on the side next to the wall, in theory the firmest side. The floor of the steps was wood, somewhat thick, sometimes you could see holes that denoted the thickness of the wood, and at specific points especially in the staircase landing the first 2 and the last 3 steps the wood was soaked with water, so that from the second floor to the landing water circulated along the wall, which ended its journey in the staircase landing and seeped through a hole that was there.
Comenzamos a subir, abajo no quedaba más nada que ver. La escalera estaba bastante deteriorada, por lo que tuvimos que caminar por el lado pegado a la pared, en teoría es el lado más firme. El piso de los escalones era madera, algo gruesa, en ocasiones se podía ver agujeros que denotaban el grosor de la madera, y en puntos específicos más que todo en el descanso de la escalera los primeros 2 y los últimos 3 escalones la madera estaba empapada de agua, por el cual del segundo piso al descanso circulaba por la pared agua, que terminaba su recorrido en el descanso de la escalera y se colaba por un hueco que había.
The first impression when we arrived on the second floor was devastating, the ceiling almost entirely, I would dare say 86% was leaky, therefore, the floor was wet and with stagnant water, the walls were fatal, full of slime and mold without paint and sometimes corroded by water.
La primera impresión al llegar al segundo piso fue devastadora, el techo casi en su totalidad, me atrevería a decir que un 86% estaba agujereado, por lo tanto, el suelo estaba mojado y con agua estancada, las paredes estaban fatales, llenas de limo y moho sin pintura y en ocasiones corroídas por el agua.
To our right we had 2 rooms and to the left two more rooms. Just in front of us was the bathroom, a bathroom similar to the one downstairs, but this one would have nothing, no window or anything inside but water and in the shower part the water was black, we suppose that the drain was clogged and did not go down, since it should have infinite years perhaps in that condition.
A nuestra derecha teníamos 2 habitaciones y a la izquierda dos habitaciones más. Justo al frente de nosotros estaba el baño, un baño similar al del piso de abajo, pero este no tendría nada, ni ventana ni nada en su interior más que agua y en la parte de la ducha el agua estaba negra, suponemos que estaría tapado el drenaje y no bajaba, puesto que debería tener infinidades de años quizás en esas condiciones.
We began to walk through the right side of the second floor, we entered the first room, it did not have much to see, but the room was quite large, it had its own bathroom, which only had a bathtub, where half of it was smashed to pieces on the floor and the other half in its original place. In the room we could see that there were clothes inside, some men's suits and some women's dresses, they were stuck together and with a thick layer of dust, it was the only compartment of the whole closet with clothes inside, the other parts were empty and open.
Comenzamos a recorrer la parte derecha de la segunda planta, nos introdujimos en la primera habitación, no tenía mucho, que ver, pero la habitación era bastante grande, contaba con baño propio, el cual solo tenía una tina, donde la mitad estaba destrozada en pedazos en el suelo y la otra mitad en su sitio original. En la habitación pudimos apreciar que había ropa dentro, unos trajes de hombre y unos vestidos de mujer, estaban pegados entre sí y con una capa gruesa de polvo, era el único compartimento de todo el clóset con ropa dentro, las otras partes estaban vacías y abiertas.
On the floor there was a long wood that seemed to be from the bed, it was the only thing that remained, there were pants and shirts, all full of holes and wet, we presume that in the rainy season which was the current one they were soaked with water and in the dry season it remained dry and the animals that lived there ate it little by little. There were also some broken window panes and others in larger pieces on the floor, and some other squares of glass placed in a pile in a corner, we assume it would be spare parts, something that never came.
En el piso había una madera larga que parecía ser de la cama, era lo único que quedaba, había pantalones y camisas, todo lleno de agujeros y mojados, presumimos que en época de lluvia que era la actual se empapaban de agua y en la época de sequía permanecía seca y los animales que habitaban se la comían poco a poco. Había también algunos vidrios de las ventanas rotos y otros en pedazos más grandes en el piso, y algunos otros cuadrados de vidrios puestos en pila en una esquina, suponemos que sería de recambios, algo que nunca llegó.
In the front room as soon as we entered and pointed the spotlight towards the back we thought we saw something that went into a door that seemed to be another bathroom, I did not see it, only my friend also saw it. We did not give it much importance either and decided to continue looking, here the bed was, but there was no mattress, the closet doors two were on the mattress post and the other on the floor all wet and with tiny animals running around inside it.
En el cuarto del frente nada más entrar y apuntar el foco hacia el fondo nos pareció ver algo que se introdujo en una puerta que parecía ser otro baño, no lo vi solamente mi amigo también lo vio. No le dimos mucha importancia tampoco y decidimos seguir viendo, aquí la cama estaba, pero no había colchón, las puertas de clóset dos estaban en el puesto del colchón y la otra en el piso toda húmeda y con animalitos diminutos recorriendo el interior de la misma.
There were three chairs, but no table, we had no idea why those chairs had come to that room, now there was only the bathroom, which did not impress enough, it was spacious and the toilet was complete, had very dark water inside and emanated a rather unpleasant odor, the sink was almost whole, only the key was missing and was dirty, but dry.
Había tres sillas, pero no había mesa, no teníamos ni la menor idea de porque esas sillas habían llegado hasta esa habitación, ahora solo quedaba el baño, el cual no impresionó bastante, era amplio y el retrete estaba completo, tenía agua muy oscura en su interior y emanaba un olor bastante desagradable, el lavamanos estaba casi entero, solo que le faltaba la llave y estaba sucio, pero seco.
The shower was gone, there was only the hole where it went and the window had only the frame, the floor was white, and in some areas it was stained, but it was also dry. As there was nothing more to see or check we got ready to leave, but at that moment, the door slammed shut, we immediately pointed the spotlights at the door and looked at each other, I was quite scared, I knew he had not been and neither had I, we opened it and as if nothing had happened, we assumed that a gust of wind would come in, which we did not feel, but we had to find a reason to calm the mind and that was when it closed.
La ducha no estaba, solo quedaba el hueco donde iba y ventana no tenía más que el marco, el piso era blanco, y en algunas zonas estaba manchado, pero también estaba seco. Como no había más nada que ver ni revisar nos dispusimos a salir, pero en ese momento, se cerró la puerta de golpe, enseguida apuntamos con los focos a la puerta y nos miramos, yo bastante asustado, sabía que el no había sido y yo tampoco, la abrimos y como si nada hubiese pasado, asumimos que entraría una ráfaga de viento, cosa que no sentimos, pero teníamos que buscar una razón para tranquilizar la mente y fue cuando se cerró.
We got out of there and went to the wing that was left to go, I think the most damaged part of the whole house, the first door was soaked with water, with holes and tiny animals running around inside the door.
Salimos de ahí y fuimos al ala que faltaba por recorrer, creo que la parte más dañada de toda la casa, la primera puerta estaba empapada de agua, con huecos y animalitos diminutos recorriendo por su interior la puerta.
When we entered the room we felt a rather strange and uncomfortable cold, surprisingly the floor was quite dry, there was a bench and a chair both made of wood, on a shelf embedded in the wall there was a trophy, we saw it with the reflection of a spotlight, we did not touch it, but it impressed us and left us with the doubt of knowing whose it was and what was the competition and the year.
Al entrar se sentía un frío bastante raro e incómodo, esta habitación sorpresivamente el suelo estaba bastante seco, había un banco y una silla ambos de madera, había en una repisa incrustada en la pared un trofeo, lo vimos con el reflejo de un foco, no lo tocamos, pero si nos impresionó y nos dejó con la duda de saber de quién era y cuál era la competición y el año.
The wall was papered over in some places and in others time had played its part. There was also a small door that had stairs to a possible attic, which we would not see until the end of this tour. We continued seeing more details, the wall where there was no tapestry was wet and moldy, behind us there was a small mattress with a blanket on top full of dust, there were 4 four pictures with photographs of people, two of them with a man in perspective to the left and the other to the right, the other two images were of the same man with a lady, we can say that it would be his wife.
La pared estaba tapizada en algunas partes y en otras el tiempo había hecho de las suyas. Había también una pequeña puerta que tenía unas escaleras para un posible ático, el cual no veríamos sino al final de este recorrido. Seguimos viendo más detalles, la pared donde no tenía tapiz estaba húmeda y con moho, a nuestras espaldas había un pequeño colchón con una manta encima llena de polvo, había 4 cuatro cuadros con fotografía de personas, dos de ellos con un hombre en perspectiva de visión izquierda y la otra hacia la derecha, las otras dos imágenes salían el mismo señor con una señora, podemos decir que sería su mujer.
A table with a tablecloth and two different chairs, a cane lying on the table and a bottle and a glass on the table, this could possibly be one of the last scenes that these two beings or one of them lived. On top of a board attached to the wall rested a rather old radio with three knobs and that by daring we tried to move one of the knobs and it sounded slightly with a whistle, immediately we ran to the door, it was not something normal, theoretically it was not connected and there was no light in the whole house or so it seemed.
Una mesa con un mantel y dos sillas diferentes, un bastón recostado de la mesa y una botella y una Copa sobre la mesa, está posiblemente sería una de las últimas escenas que vivieron estos dos seres o uno de ellos. Encima de un tablón pegado a la pared reposaba un radio bastante antiguo con tres perillas y que por atrevimiento intentamos mover una de las perillas y sonó levemente con un silbido, en seguida corrimos a la puerta, no era algo normal, teóricamente no estaba conectado y no había ni luz en toda la casa o eso parecía.
We did not lock ourselves in the front room, we carefully closed the door, but not all the way. No encerramos en la habitación del frente, con cuidado cerramos la puerta, pero no en su totalidad. La dejamos entre medias, al apuntar con el foco a la pared de la derecha vimos un boquete, la cual salía al pasillo y se veía la habitación de donde habíamos salido. Se nos hizo muy extraño ya que antes de entrar en la habitación del frente no recordábamos haber visto ese agujero.
This room apparently did not hide anything, there was a table, which probably made crafts, a canvas rested on the table and a small pot of paint, which over time was compact and dry. On the left hand side there was a small piece of furniture with a wooden chair and an alarm clock, which did not ring, there were no batteries anywhere, but we still touched it to make sure it did not ring. Esta habitación al parecer no ocultaba nada, había una mesa, que seguramente hacían manualidades, un lienzo reposaba sobre la mesa y un bote pequeño de pintura, que con el tiempo estaba compacto y seco. A mano izquierda se observaba un pequeño mueble con una silla de madera y un reloj despertador, el cual no sonaba, no se le veía pilas por ningún lado, pero aun así lo tocamos para asegurarnos de que no sonara. Una lámpara que todavía colgaba y el bombillo está pegado, pero los vidrios estaban esparcidos por el suelo, seguramente el bombillo había quedado encendido y por el tiempo explotó al estar tanto tiempo encendido.
The window kept the curtains a little stiff and quite dusty, the blind was in half and the glass was completely destroyed. The wall like the other room was very deteriorated with cracks and mold almost all over its surface.
La ventana mantenía las cortinas un poco rígidas y con bastante polvo, la persiana estaba por la mitad y el vidrio estaba completamente destruido. La pared como la otra habitación estaba muy deteriorada con grietas y moho por casi toda su superficie.
Leaving the room because there was nothing else to appreciate we opened the door carefully and went into the front room to climb the stairs, when we are touching the doorknob we heard a loud bang coming from outside, it seemed to be a door, but we had no idea, so we continue we opened the door and when we raised the spotlights to illuminate we saw the reflection of a girl sitting on the stairs with a toy next to her. We quickly closed the door. We looked at each other and wondered if it would really be worth it to go up and see.
Al salir de la habitación porque no había más que apreciar abrimos la puerta con cuidado y nos adentramos en la habitación del frente para subir las escaleras, cuando estamos tocando el pomo de la puerta escuchamos un fuerte golpe proveniente de afuera, parecía ser una puerta, pero no teníamos ni idea, así que seguimos abrimos la puerta y al subir los focos para alumbrar vimos el reflejo de una niña sentada en la escalera con un juguete a su lado. Rápidamente cerramos la puerta. Nos miramos y preguntamos si de verdad valdría la pena subir y ver.
We thought for a while and decided that, if we could in such a case, it was our turn to run to the exit where we would meet. Even though we broke one of the main rules when we were going in. Again we opened the door and pointed us up with the spotlights and there was nothing, to reassure ourselves mentally, we told each other the mind sometimes sees things that are not necessarily present it reacts to the situation we are in.
Pensamos un rato y decidimos que, si podíamos en tal caso, nos tocaba correr hasta la salida donde nos encontraríamos. Aunque rompamos una de las reglas principales cuando íbamos a entrar. Nuevamente abrimos la puerta y apúntanos hacia arriba con los focos y no había nada, para tranquilizarnos mentalmente, nos dijimos mutuamente la mente a veces ve cosas que no necesariamente están presentes ella reacciona a la situación en la que estamos.
When we arrived upstairs we found a small room or very small attic which kept a small window to give light to it and a table with a dressing table and a chair, we really did not understand why something like that would be kept here. So many thoughts that we did not have the right answer for the situation. A newspaper, a thermos of coffee and a glass were the ones that kept the silence of what was happening here and the reason why this would be here.
Al llegar arriba nos encontramos un pequeño cuarto o ático muy pequeño el cual guardaba una pequeña ventana para darle luz a la misma y una mesa con tocador y una silla, realmente no comprendamos para que algo así se guardaría aquí. Tantos pensamientos que no teníamos la respuesta acertada para la situación. Un periódico, un termo de café y un vaso eran los que guardaban el silencio de lo que aquí sucedía y la razón del porque esto estaría aquí.
When we were about to go downstairs to leave we heard three knocks on a door, which for us already indicated the exit, we were already being tormented by our own mind that put sounds in our head that were not normal, when going between the stairs we heard a cry of a girl, which was the trigger to run out of the room and we stopped at the staircase landing, because downstairs when we illuminated with the spotlight we saw a small trail of blood towards the right door of one of the rooms below, something that when we went upstairs we did not see, so ask us if there was someone, when we repeated this phrase three times and received no response we continued down, but again we heard three knocks on a door that now came from upstairs, we did not hesitate and ran out of the place, we were already tormented by the house.
Cuando nos disponíamos a bajar para salir escuchamos tres golpes en una puerta, lo que para nosotros ya nos indicaba la salida, ya estábamos siendo atormentados por nuestra propia mente que ponía sonidos en nuestra cabeza que no eran normales, al ir entre medio de las escaleras escuchamos un llanto de una niña, el cual fue el detonante para salir corriendo de la habitación y nos detuvimos en el descanso de la escalera, porque abajo cuando alumbramos con el foco vinos un pequeño rastro de sangre hacia la puerta derecha de una de las habitaciones de abajo, algo que cuando subimos no vimos, por eso pregúntanos si había alguien, al repetir está frase en tres oportunidades y no recibir respuesta continuamos bajando, pero nuevamente sonaron 3 golpes en una puerta que ahora procedía de arriba, no dudamos más y salimos corriendo del lugar, ya estábamos atormentados por la casa.
We did not stop until we were inside the car, we got in quickly and closed the car door to avoid any sudden scare. We started the car and proceeded to turn off the lights, take off our backpacks and put our boots in the back seat of the car. We waited about five minutes to get over the scare and then headed home. It was not really one of the best experiences, but we are convinced that if we find a place like this again in a state of abandonment we will go in, but if it is during the day it would be even better.
No nos detuvimos hasta estar dentro del carro, nos metimos rápidamente y cerramos la puerta del carro para evitar cualquier susto repentino. Prendimos en vehículo y procedimos a apagar los focos, quitarnos la mochila y colocar las botas en el asiento trasero del carro. Esperamos unos cinco minutos para pasar el susto y luego nos fuimos a casa. Realmente no fue una de las mejores experiencias, pero estamos convencidos de que si nos volvemos a encontrar un sitio así en estado de abandono entramos, pero si es de día sería mucho mejor.
