There is a lot of talk about the navel, the most common of which is that applying oil to the navel has good effects on various organs and health of the body, but what is the scientific fact?

What is the cause of navel?

When a baby is in the mother's womb, the baby receives oxygen and food and excretes waste products through the mother's blood. For this purpose, a temporary organ called the placenta is formed in the uterus, which is attached to the wall of the uterus and from this placenta emerges the umbilical cord which is attached to the baby at the place of the navel. This umbilical cord has three blood vessels, one of which is the veins that carry food and oxygen from the mother's blood and two are the arteries that carry carbon dioxide and waste products to the mother's blood. Goes
This umbilical cord is no longer needed after birth because the baby now breathes on its own and takes food through the mouth, so this umbilical cord is cut. The place where it separates from the baby's body becomes the navel, which is a scar formed after the incision, just like when a part of the body is cut or it seems to be cut too much, it becomes a scar. In the same way, this small depth in the abdomen that was once the way to the umbilical cord is now established as a scar.

Do all the nerves of the body pass through the navel?

No, in general, those who say to put oil in the navel, all the nerves of the body pass through the navel, but this is not the case. The blood vessel (umbilical vein) that carries oxygen and growth from the mother's blood carries blood to another vein in the baby's liver called the ductus venosus, from which blood then goes to the heart and from the heart. The blood spreads throughout the body and then enters the umbilical artery from where it travels back to the placenta for oxygen and food. So in the whole process, we saw that only two blood vessels pass through the navel, one that carries oxygen and food and the other that goes to excrete waste products.
But this system ends when the baby is born and the ducts that used to pass through the navel also close and end.
But in all this process, before and after birth, there was no tube that went directly to the brain or the eyes. So just as putting oil in the navel is said to be good for the brain, eyes and dry lips, it seems to be scientifically unfounded.

Is there any special benefit in applying oil to the navel?

No, most oils do not penetrate the skin layers. Even if an oil penetrates the skin layers and enters the bloodstream, there is no guarantee that it will benefit.

Dryness of the veins

What is the method of applying oil in the navel to get rid of dryness of veins? But is there anything like dryness of the veins? no Please. The blood vessels dilate and contract in different ways (vasodilation and vasoconstriction) but the contraction of the veins does not mean dryness, the veins constrict and dilate under the control of the nervous system which is normal, if in this system If there is any defect, it will not be correct to add any oil to the blood (if the oil can enter the blood quickly).
If there is any obstruction in a vein, it will not go away from the oil.
