ESP

The people of Daura, a small town in the east, suffered under the rule of Azarius, the king of that province. He was a tyrant whose decision was final, it pained Zeus, a young virile man to see his people under captivity. He was neither strong nor had a political position to defend his people. He thought about what he needed to do to free his people from the hands of king Azarius and finally came up with an idea. Zeus was a man of pride, he believed he was able to emerge victorious in a Duel and everything that challenges his capacity. Zeus called some of the chief from Daura and asked them what their young men were capable of doing.

"The only thing God had blessed us with is skillfulness in soccer" one of the chiefs replied, "We are too weak to engage in war, our youth had grown thin and frail " he added.

Zeus gathered a few information about the king and decided to go meet him. After acknowledging his position as a king, he presented a challenge to him, he knew the king's pride wouldn't let him decline the offer.

"If our people lose the game, keep them in captivity and they'll always pay allegiance to you but if they win, you'll set them free" Zeus proposed.

Azarius laughed, he was confident about his men, what would sick and thin people be able to play he thought.

"I'll take up your entire land down to Ephrata" Azarius replied.
