En una ciudad se encontraba una familia que tenía una estabilidad económica sustentable, no les dolía malgastar las cosas, mucho menos gastar el agua, ya que ellos pensaban que el agua era inagotable, además nunca presentan fallas en el suministro de la misma. Sin embargo, esta familia llega a un punto donde no podían creer lo que estaba sucediendo en la ciudad, así que atraviesan por una situación que les hará cambiar su forma de pensar y así empezar a valorar y ahorrar el agua.
In a city there was a family that had a sustainable economic stability, it did not hurt them to waste things, much less waste water, since they thought that water was inexhaustible, and they never had water supply failures. However, this family reaches a point where they could not believe what was happening in the city, so they go through a situation that will make them change their way of thinking and thus begin to value and save water.

Un día Juan, el hijo menor de la familia, estaba en su cuarto con la ducha de su baño abierta esperando que se calentara el agua para bañarse y no le importaba que se perdiera toda esa cantidad de agua, era una costumbre que teína desde hace mucho tiempo. Mientras escuchaba por la televisión los problemas que estaban pasando otras ciudades por el tema del agua, la escasez, y no la daba importancia.
Así pasaron semanas hablando sobre el tema y a esta familia no le importaba malgastar el agua, no pensaba en más allá de su realidad, ellos no tenían problema, ya que contaban con un tanque subterráneo y lo usaban muy poco. Siempre tenían la costumbre de dejar los grifos abiertos al mismo tiempo, no reflexionaban en el daño que le estaban haciendo a ese recurso natural y lo peor es que nunca ayudaban a los que tenían problemas con el agua.
One day Juan, the youngest son of the family, was in his room with the shower running in his bathroom waiting for the water to heat up so he could take a bath, and he didn't care that all that water was wasted, it was a habit he had had for a long time. While he listened on television to the problems that other cities were experiencing because of the water shortage, he didn't give it any importance.
Weeks went by talking about the subject and this family did not care about wasting water, they did not think beyond their reality, they had no problem, since they had a subway tank and used it very little. They always had the habit of leaving the faucets open at the same time, they did not think about the damage they were doing to this natural resource and the worst thing is that they never helped those who had water problems.

Con el paso de los días escucharon que iban a trancar el agua en la ciudad y no había fecha para que la pusieran de nuevo, por el hecho de que le harían manteniendo a las tuberías de agua, esta familia no le prestó atención a la información y siguieron actuando de la misma manera. Un día, de repente, Juan se da cuenta de que no había agua en los grifos de la casa donde se asustó y salió de inmediato a avisarle a los padres, estos lo escucharon y automáticamente activaron el pozo de agua. A partir de ese momento Juan se quedó con la curiosidad y la duda de cuanto podía dura el agua del pozo.
As the days went by they heard that they were going to shut off the water in the city and there was no date for the water to be turned on again, due to the fact that they were going to maintain the water pipes, this family did not pay attention to the information and continued acting in the same way. One day, suddenly, Juan realized that there was no water in the faucets of the house where he got scared and went out immediately to tell the parents, they heard him and automatically activated the water well. From that moment on, Juan was left with the curiosity and the doubt of how long the water in the well could last.

Pasaron unos días y nada que llegaba el agua, las flores ya se encontraba marchitas, las jarras de agua empezaban a vaciarse, los vecinos empezaron a preguntarle si les podía regalar un poco de agua, el tanque ya estaba empezando a bajar por el fuerte uso que le estaba dando la familia. Los padres observan la desesperación de parte de los hijos, ya que no podían hacer muchas cosas.
A partir de ese momento la familia empezó a cambiar y ahorra un poco el agua, ya que la situación estaba empeorando mucho más, algo que jamás se imaginó que les podía suceder. El padre preocupado empieza medir el tanque para ver cuanta cantidad de agua les quedaba y si administrarlo para unos días más.
A few days went by and no water arrived, the flowers were already withered, the water jugs began to empty, the neighbors began to ask if they could have some water, the tank was already starting to get low due to the heavy use that the family was giving it. The parents observed the desperation on the part of the children, since they could not do many things.
From that moment on, the family began to change and save a little water, since the situation was getting much worse, something they never imagined could happen to them. The worried father began to measure the tank to see how much water they had left and if they could manage it for a few more days.

La madre se da cuenta de que el gasto de agua era mayor, no les alcanzaba, rápidamente se les acababa, llenaban los envases y nos les duraba, entraron en desesperación, estrés y nervios por la misma situación, no encontraba que hacer y a quien llamar para que le solucionaran el problema, le regalarán agua o en su defecto que le llenarán su tanque. Nadie los quiso ayudar, ya que ellos eran muy poco amables con todos los vecinos que tenían cerca.
Se dan cuenta de que el tanque ya le quedaba muy poca agua, que no estaba llegando a las tuberías de la casa, por lo que tienen que lanzar un tobo para agarrar el agua que quedaba en el fondo. La familia reacciona y se da cuenta de la importancia que tiene el agua en la vida de los seres vivos, de ahorrar el agua y ser humilde y de ayudar a las demás personas.
The mother realized that the expense of water was greater, they did not have enough, they quickly ran out, they filled the containers and it did not last, they entered into despair, stress and nerves for the same situation, they did not find what to do and who to call to solve the problem, they would give them water or if not, they would fill their tank. Nobody wanted to help them, since they were very unfriendly to all the neighbors they had nearby.
They realized that the tank had very little water left, that it was not reaching the pipes of the house, so they had to throw a hose to catch the water that remained at the bottom. The family reacts and realizes the importance of water in the life of living beings, to save water and be humble and to help other people.

Las cosas ya se estaban poniendo muy feas, había mucha angustia dentro de la familia, ya para cocinar era una angustia, solamente tomaban un vaso de agua cada cierto tiempo, no se bañaban e incluso los hijos estaban entrando en crisis por la falta agua. El padre toma una decisión y decide salir para buscar agua en otra parte y así poder ayudar a que la familia estuviese tranquila por unas horas, así repitió esto por varios días.
El padre ya estaba cansado y agotado, ya no podía más, donde deciden no hacer más viajes para buscar agua, no les quedaba más opción que ahorrar el último tobo y vaso de agua que les quedaba en casa para su consumo, ya era prácticamente su última gota de agua. Desde ese día aprendieron la lección que no hay que malgastar el agua, usarla cuando sea necesario y sobre todo ayudarse entre todos. Viendo por la situación que estaban pasando, decidieron ayudarlos. Gran lección recibió esta familia.

The father made a decision and decided to go out to look for water elsewhere in order to help the family to be calm for a few hours, and he repeated this for several days.
The father was already tired and exhausted, he could not take any more, so they decided not to make any more trips to fetch water, they had no other option but to save the last water left in the house for their consumption, it was practically their last drop of water. From that day on they learned the lesson not to waste water, to use it when necessary and above all to help each other. Seeing the situation they were going through, they decided to help them. This family received a great lesson.
