Te sorprenderá que te escriba esta carta, eso si logras leerla, porque perdí todo contacto contigo hace ya un tiempo. Algunas veces, cuando he pensado en ti, recuerdo el cuento Autopista del Sur de Julio Cortázar. En el mundo real suelo ser esa amiga que insiste y no deja perder el contacto de una amistad verdadera, las visito, las llamo y estoy por allí cerca para no perderlas de vista, solo así he mantenido el contacto con mi amiga de cuando estaba en segundo grado, ¿Puedes creerlo? Pues sí, de mi primer trabajo conservo dos, y de los estudios en la universidad otras más. Pero no sabía que era posible tener amigos en el mundo virtual.

Tú fuiste la primera en comentar mis post en esta plataforma cuando me inicié. En ese momento yo no entendía muy bien de qué se trataba todo esto, pensaba que solo era un blog como todos los demás. Me sorprendió tu amabilidad y me dije: «en el mundo real Jimena debe ser una persona muy dulce».

Yo también creía que esta era una red social, como las que conocía, donde la gente suele ser hiriente y dura en la forma de relacionarse con los extraños, lo veo en los grupos, pero tu trato cordial y la preocupación porque aprendiera, fueron para mí muy valiosos, y me mostraron un valor importante en esta blockchain, que aunque la gente no se conozca y nunca se haya visto existe una bondad que habla muy bien de la naturaleza humana.

En el cuento de Cortázar, se forma un embotellamiento en una avenida principal, una cola tan lenta que las personas interactúan entre ellas, hasta que un día el tráfico avanza y nunca más se vuelven a ver, esta red se parece al argumento de ese cuento. Aquí sabemos uno del otro, compartimos recuerdos importantes, vamos conociéndonos tanto, uno al otro, hasta que un día no sabemos más de las personas, porque esta simplemente deja de escribir.
¿Recuerdas aquel concurso donde aprendimos a hacer aforismos? Fue muy interesante, tampoco supe más de ese joven profesor de literatura. Hive está lleno de aprendizajes y de gente valiosa.

Yo seguí, ya tengo cinco años acá en la plataforma. Me mudé hace tres años a otra ciudad; mis hijos y nietos están bien, creciendo, y adquiriendo experiencias nuevas cada día. ¿Y los tuyos? Tu hija menor se iba a casar, espero que esté muy bien, quizá hasta ya te hizo abuela. Y tu mamá... ¿cómo está?, recuerdo que estaba teniendo problemas de Alzhéimer, deseo esté bien también.

La amistad es un encuentro de almas que se produce siempre que las personas lo desean. Donde quiera que te encuentres te doy las gracias, porque tu ayuda de ese momento fue importante para que me mantuviera escribiendo y eso ha sido muy bueno.

I also thought this was a social network, like the ones I knew, where people tend to be hurtful and harsh in the way they relate to strangers, I see it in the groups, but your cordial treatment and concern for my learning were very valuable to me, and showed me an important value in this blockchain, that even if people don't know each other and have never seen each other there is a kindness that speaks very well of human nature.

In Cortázar's story, a traffic jam forms on a main avenue, a queue so slow that people interact with each other, until one day the traffic moves on and they never see each other again, this network resembles the plot of that story. Here we know about each other, we share important memories, we get to know each other so well, until one day we don't know about each other anymore, because the person just stops writing.
Do you remember that contest where we learned to write aphorisms? It was very interesting, I never heard from that young literature teacher either. Hive is full of learning and valuable people.

I continued, I've been on the platform for five years now. I moved three years ago to another city; my children and grandchildren are doing well, growing up and gaining new experiences every day. And yours? Your youngest daughter is getting married, I hope she's doing well, maybe she's even made you a grandmother. And your mother... How is she? I remember she was having problems with Alzheimer's, I hope she is well too.

Friendship is a meeting of souls that happens whenever people want it. Wherever you are I thank you, because your help at that time was important to keep me writing and that has been very good.
