Macrophotography // Beautiful beetle

Hello Hivers

Beetles are a species of insect that is always interesting to look at, one of the reasons is that the shields they have definitely have varied and very beautiful colors, just like the type of beetle I found this time

Scutelleridae is a family of true insects. They are commonly known as jewel bugs or metal shield bugs because of their brilliant colors. They are also known as shield-backed insects due to the enlargement of the thoracic scutellum into a continuous shield over the abdomen and wings,This latter characteristic distinguishes them from most other families within the Heteroptera , and can lead to misidentification as beetles and not insects. These insects feed on plant juices from a variety of different species, including some commercial crops. Closely related to bed bugs, they can also emit an unpleasant odor if disturbed. There are about 450 species worldwide

As the name suggests, the shield that this beetle has is really beautiful, the colors are shiny and varied, several colors are combined into one which makes the appearance very interesting to look at.

The size is also quite large, it looks like it is hiding from the heat of the sun, but I managed to find it and try to get it to come out of its hiding place, a moment like this is too bad to miss, especially not every day you can find a beetle like this

For farmers they are pests, but for me they are jewels, the light that radiates on their shields is truly an incomparable natural miracle, there is nothing else like this

Those are some pictures that I can share this time, thank you and see you again
