En esta semana cambiamos el registro por completo y nos dedicamos a la fotografía de edificios y construcciones.
Cuando leí la convocatoria me vio a la mente de inmediato este lugar. Se trata de una de las obras más modernas del barrio en el que vivo: el Centro Cívico Manuel Vázquez Guardiola.
El bloque principal llama la atención por su color azul. De hecho, si tienes que indicarle a alguien un lugar que quede cercano es la primera referencia de la que echar mano.
Aquí la prueba de la juventud de este edificio. El señor alcalde en persona acudió a su inauguración.
En cada uno de los barrios de la ciudad hay como mínimo uno de estos centros cívicos. Al ser edificios públicos, están orientados a dar servicios a los ciudadanos. Por ejemplo, se consideran un refugio climático cuando hay olas de calor o frío y cualquiera puede acudir a ellos para resguardarse, sin mayor objetivo que ese.
En ellos se realizan actividades de todo tipo, desde manualidades a gimnasia, artes plásticas o música. Cualquiera puede alquilar de forma bastante económica sus salas para realizar la actividad que desee.
El acceso principal nos lleva al espacio distribuidor que nos lleva a cualquiera de sus partes. El centro cuenta con numerosas salas para actividades y exposiciones, una sala multiusos con escenario, una biblioteca, un centro de tiempo libre y una ludoteca.

This week we change the register completely and focus on photography of buildings and constructions.
When I read the call for entries, this place immediately came to mind. It is one of the most modern buildings in the neighbourhood where I live: the Centro Cívico Manuel Vázquez Guardiola.
The main block is striking for its blue colour. In fact, if you have to point someone to a place nearby, it's the first reference to go to.
Here is proof of the youth of this building. The mayor himself attended the inauguration.
In each of the city's neighbourhoods there is at least one of these civic centres. As public buildings, they are geared towards providing services to citizens. For example, they are considered a weather shelter when there are heat or cold waves and anyone can go to them for shelter, for no other purpose than that.
They are used for all kinds of activities, from handicrafts to gymnastics, plastic arts to music. Anyone can rent the rooms quite cheaply to carry out any activity they wish.
The main entrance leads to the distribution space that takes us to any of its parts. The centre has numerous rooms for activities and exhibitions, a multi-purpose room with a stage, a library, a leisure centre and a toy library.
