¡Hola queridos amigos visuales de #Hive!... Aquí estamos en plena temporada seca y yo continúo alternando mis días de fotografía callejera con largas caminatas campestres, esto con la intención de captar el drama, la alegría, los colores y las luces complejas y desafiantes de esta estación... ¡Marzo es especial!... Y me refiero a que lo es debido a la llegada de la primavera, entonces se comienzan a observar cambios interesantes en el clima, los animales y la vegetación... ¡Todo esto hay que disfrutarlo a través del lente de la cámara!.
Hello dear #hive visual friends!.... Here we are in the middle of the dry season and I continue to alternate my street photography days with long country walks, this with the intention of capturing the drama, the joy, the colors and the complex and challenging lights of this season.... March is special!... And I mean it is because of the arrival of spring, then you start to see interesting changes in the weather, animals and vegetation.... All this is to be enjoyed through the lens of the camera!.
Obviamente, debido a nuestra cercanía con el ecuador, aquí en Venezuela no tenemos cuatro estaciones, tenemos solo dos: "Una en donde llueve mucho" y "otra en donde no llueve"... je je je... ¡El trópico y sus cosas!... Pero como ya os dije, en cada solsticio y en cada equinoccio, hay sutiles cambios aún estando aquí en pleno cinturón tropical.
Obviously, due to our proximity to the equator, here in Venezuela we don't have four seasons, we only have two: "One where it rains a lot" and "another one where it doesn't rain"... hehehehehe... The tropic and its things!.... But as I already told you, in every solstice and every equinox, there are subtle changes even being here in the middle of the tropical belt.
Pero volvamos con la fotografía como tal: Lo que me encanta de mis salidas fotográficas en esta época del año, es el drama visual que se puede encontrar en todo... ¡Amo esos arboles deshojados, los cielos a veces profundamente azules y a veces blanquecinos!... Un día puedes encontrar nieblas en el valle y al día siguiente brilla... Algunas plantas se visten de flores mientras otras simplemente se secan y esperan las lluvias para volver a aparecer... Entones todo cobra un cariz muy particular en estos días de Marzo... ¡Y yo acostumbro a estar aquí para aprovecharlos!.
But let's get back to photography as such: What I love about my photographic outings at this time of the year, is the visual drama that can be found in everything... I love those leafless trees, the sometimes deep blue and sometimes whitish skies!.... One day you can find fog in the valley and the next day it's shining.... Some plants are dressed with flowers while others simply dry up and wait for the rains to appear again... Then everything takes on a very particular look in these days of March... And I'm used to being here to take advantage of them!.
Ciertamente el calor es un factor a considerar, pero siempre es algo con lo que se puede lidiar llevando algo de agua, camisas de mangas largas y un buen sombrero... ¡No hay excusa para quedarse en casa mientras "Marzo" está aquí!.
Certainly the heat is a factor to consider, but it's always something you can deal with by bringing some water, long sleeved shirts and a good hat... There's no excuse to stay home while "March" is here!.
La diversa temática de estas fotos también tiene relación directa con la época del año, pues al estar reducido el follaje, muchas cosas son mas visibles... Desde pequeñas flores, hasta aves y animales de granja, son más fáciles de captar entre la pastura baja o inexistente o las ramas deshojadas.
The diverse subject matter of these photos is also directly related to the time of the year, as the foliage is reduced, many things are more visible... From small flowers, to birds and farm animals, they are easier to capture among the low or non-existent grasses or leafless branches.
Espero que estas fotografías sean del agrado de ustedes y transmitan ese particular ambiente propio de la estación seca de estos días en mi pueblo... Pequeña nota técnica: Todas las fotos son capturadas usando mi cámara NIKON D7000, las capturas se hacen en formato RAW y luego estos archivos son procesados usando Adobe Camera Raw hasta lograr la casi totalidad de ajustes y apariencia deseados y luego ser exportados como JPG... Algunos cambios secundarios como profundidad, enderezamiento, recortes mínimos y agregado de marcas de agua, fueron realizados usando PhotoScape 3.6.1.
Small technical note: All the photos are captured using my NIKON D7000 camera, the captures are made in RAW format and then these files are processed using Adobe Camera Raw until achieving almost all the desired adjustments and appearance and then exported as JPG... Some secondary changes such as depth, straightening, minimal cropping and adding watermarks were made using PhotoScape 3.6.1.
