Aparte del canto de los pájaros, del silbido del viento, del rumor particular del bosque; de los animalitos haciendo sus recorridos, de la rama crujiendo por el sol, de la hoja cayendo al suelo, de la expresión voluntaria y natural de la naturaleza; aparte de fotografiar mariposas y flores, abejas y ciempiés, ¿qué otra cosa se puede hacer en el bosque?
Apart from the singing of the birds, the whistling of the wind, the particular rumor of the forest; the little animals making their rounds, the branch crackling in the sun, the leaf falling to the ground, the voluntary and natural expression of nature; apart from photographing butterflies and flowers, bees and centipedes, what else is there to do in the forest?
Me lo pregunté hace dos días cuando salí a caminar para hacer vida con la naturaleza y en el afán de contemplarlo todo me detuve ante el entramado vegetal que producen los tallos, las ramas, los bejucos, las hojas y luego de disfrutar de esa aparente sencillez convertida en toda una arquitectura vegetal (cuando estamos frente a ella), me dio por disparar un par de fotografías para dejar registro de ese paisaje y agregarlo como otra experiencia, pequeña, pero significativa que pasará a enriquecer los paisajes internos donde mi alma reposa.
I asked myself this question two days ago when I went for a walk to make life with nature and in the eagerness to contemplate it all I stopped in front of the vegetal framework produced by the stems, branches, vines, leaves and after enjoying that apparent simplicity turned into a whole vegetal architecture (when we are in front of it), I decided to take a couple of pictures to record that landscape and add it as another experience, small but significant, that will enrich the internal landscapes where my soul rests.
Repito, no soy fotógrafo, pero me gusta la idea de atrapar el tiempo en una obra de arte, específicamente, en una fotografía y ciertamente estas fotos no tienen algún valor artístico; mi intención es más humilde, más íntima, sólo deseo dejar un testimonio de toda la riqueza que le da vida a la naturaleza y que sirve para sosegar el espíritu, para trasmutar el alma por los espacios más recovecos de la interioridad personal.
I repeat, I am not a photographer, but I like the idea of trapping time in a work of art, specifically, in a photograph and certainly these photos do not have any artistic value; my intention is more humble, more intimate, I only wish to leave a testimony of all the richness that gives life to nature and that serves to calm the spirit, to transmute the soul through the innermost recesses of personal interiority.
