Bajo las alas de los zamuros (buitres) / Under the wings of vultures

Saludos hivers y bienvenidos a mi blog. ¿Quién no ha soñado alguna vez con volar como Superman o con tener alas y surcar los cielos como un ave, lejos del bullicio del suelo y el entorno humano? Creo que es una de las fantasías más recurrentes, no solo en los niños, sino en personas de todas las edades, el simple hecho de sentir que tenemos ese poder nos hace sonreír.

Greetings hivers and welcome to my blog. Who hasn't ever dreamed of flying like Superman or of having wings and soaring through the skies like a bird, far from the hustle and bustle of the ground and the human environment? I think it's one of the most recurring fantasies, not only in children, but in people of all ages, the simple fact of feeling that we have that power makes us smile.

El ser humano ha logrado muchos avances, y entre ellos está la posibilidad de poder volar, claro, no como Superman u otros superhéroes voladores, ni como las aves con un par de alas, pero sí usando helicópteros, aviones o parapentes.

Human beings have made many advances, and among them is the possibility of being able to fly, of course, not like Superman or other flying superheroes or like birds with a pair of wings, but using helicopters, airplanes or paragliders.

Si bien montarse en un avión o en un helicóptero no se parece en nada a la sensación de volar como un pájaro, hacerlo en un parapente sí que se acerca mucho y lo puedo certificar ya que lo hice en una oportunidad y es algo espectacular 🪂🤩, pero igualmente se sigue dependiendo de algo para poder hacerlo, mientras que las aves tienen esas mágicas extremidades llamadas alas que forman parte de sus cuerpos y de las que disponen cada vez que quieren o lo necesitan.

Although getting on a plane or a helicopter is nothing like the sensation of flying like a bird, doing it on a paraglider is very close and I can certify it since I did it once and it's something spectacular 🪂🤩, but you still depend on something to be able to do it, while birds have those magical limbs called wings that are part of their bodies and which they use whenever they want or need them.

Por lo general, cuando vemos pájaros volando los vemos desde lejos y si llegamos a estar cerca de ellos están con sus alas cerradas. ¿Cuántos de ustedes han estado alguna vez bajo las alas de un ave de gran tamaño? Bueno, a mí tampoco me había pasado antes así que quiero compartir con ustedes esta interesante experiencia o más bien diría coincidencia jejeje porque no es fácil lograr estar en el momento y lugar preciso para hacer estas fotos que les traigo hoy.

Generally, when we see birds flying we see them from afar and if we get close to them they have their wings closed. How many of you have ever been under the wings of a big bird? Well, it hadn't happened to me before either so I want to share with you this interesting experience or rather I would say coincidence because it's not easy to be at the right time and place to take these photos that I bring you today.

Eran las 12:20 del mediodía cuando salí al balcón, levanté la vista para mirar el cielo y ahí, justo sobre el techo del salón de fiesta del edificio, que está arriba de mi apartamento, ví la enorme ala extendida de un zamuro (buitre) que parecía saludarme invitándome a hacerle unas fotos, invitación que por supuesto acepté inmediatamente jejeje y corrí a buscar mi teléfono para empezar con esta sesión fotográfica 😸📸.

It was 12:20 noon when I went out to the balcony, I looked up to look at the sky and there, right on the roof of the building's party room, which is above my apartment, I saw the enormous outstretched wing of a vulture who seemed to greet me by inviting me to take some photos, an invitation that of course I immediately accepted hehehe and ran to get my phone to start this photo session 😸📸.

Apenas le hice la primera foto el zamuro cambió de lugar y se fue al otro extremo del techo y yo lo seguí desde abajo jejeje, cuando miré hacia arriba había un zamuro más.

As soon as I took the first photo, the vulture changed places and went to the other end of the roof and I followed him from below hehehe, when I looked up there was one more vulture.

Cuando el zamuro vió que lo estaba viendo volvió a saludarme con su ala y creo que le dijo a su compañero o compañera que me saludara también jejeje, aunque el otro tardó un poco en responder a su petición 🤔🤭.

When the vulture saw that I was looking at him, he greeted me again with his wing and I think he told his partner to greet me too hehehe, although the other one took a while to respond to his request 🤔🤭.

"Oye, saluda que nos están tomando fotos" / "Hey, say hello, they're taking photos of us"

Tengo que decir que para poder hacer estas fotos tuve que pararme en una postura bastante incómoda 🥴, con la espalda arqueada hacia atrás para poder mirar hacia arriba, casi que haciendo el puente jajaja, pero, como recompensa, estos dos amigos alados me regalaron unas lindas tomas 📸☺️.

I have to say that in order to take these photos I had to stand in a rather uncomfortable position 🥴, with my back arched backwards to be able to look up, almost making the bridge hahaha, but, as a reward, these two winged friends gave me some nice shots 📸☺️.

Mis dos modelos parecían estar disfrutando mucho esta sesión de fotos y empezaron a hacer una coreografía con sus grandes alas.

My two models seemed to be really enjoying this photo shoot and started doing choreography with their big wings.

Estos zamuros fueron un modelos perfectos 🤗 / These vultures were perfect models 🤗

Al día siguiente, a la misma hora había un zamuro (buitre) en el mismo lugar, no sé si era el mismo jejeje pero esta vez estaba solo. Los zamuros suelen pararse con frecuencia en el techo de mi edificio y en el de algunos edificios más, aunque no en todos los edificios de la ciudad, parece que tienen sus preferencias jejeje.

The next day, at the same time there was a vulture in the same place, I don't know if it was the same hehehe but this time it was alone. The vultures often stand on the roof of my building and on that of some other buildings, although not in all the buildings in the city, it seems that they have their preferences hehehe.

Este amiguito me saludó de la misma manera así que probablemente era el mismo del día anterior jajaja, creo que le gustó posar y quiso repetir la experiencia para contarle a su familia y amigos.

This little friend greeted me the same way so he was probably the same guy from the day before hahaha, I think he liked posing and wanted to repeat the experience to tell his family and friends.

Hubo un momento en el que se escondió así que me fuí al otro balcón a verlo mejor, lo observé un rato y esperé unos minutos, quería tomarle una foto cuando se fuese volando y mi paciencia tuvo su recompensa jejeje 😎.

There was a moment when he hid so I went to the other balcony to see him better, I watched him for a while and waited a few minutes, I wanted to take a photo of him when he flew away and my patience had his reward hehehe 😎.

Tener la oportunidad de observar y fotografiar a estas majestuosas aves desde esta posición fue muy interesante y a la vez algo diferente porque no es fácil lograr estar justo debajo de ellas mientras están descansando, son unas aves tranquilas y muy tímidas que disfrutan de extender sus alas bajo el sol para refrescarse.

Having the opportunity to observe and photograph these majestic birds from this position was very interesting and at the same time something different because it's not easy to be right under them while they are resting. They are calm and very shy birds that enjoy spreading their wings under the sun to cool off.
