El poder de la mente / The power of the mind

Hello Hive community! Holus & Lotus community, I am writing to you again, I recently finished a course on Clinical Psychiatry, which left me some lessons, especially to understand - to understand a little more the human being, as a biopsychosocial being.

The mind of the human being is something fascinating, we differentiate or proclaim ourselves in the animal kingdom as superior beings before the other species, simply by the power to reason, to understand the ideas and use that great power in our favor; you can realize that the mind is more powerful than brute force, with this simple example "You think you would beat a Lion🦁 fighting only with your body", well clearly not, that is obvious, but I assure you that you would think of using a weapon🔪 to beat the Lion🦁, there you are already reasoning.

In this opportunity I want to reach you, to express you that you have a great power and that power I ask you to use it in favor of the good, of humanity, seek to be better every day, join the study of an art, of music, a sport, a university career, be better in high school, learn a trade, focus your mind to something productive; learn a trade, focus your mind to something productive, that which today seems silly, tomorrow can help you get ahead, support someone else and play a productive role in our society; an idle mind, not productive, with vague thoughts leads to bad steps and that is proven.

Surely you have heard phrases like "the word has power"; in particular I think it does and a lot, a word edifies, glorifies, blesses, curses, a lot of things in just one word. That word comes from your thoughts, from what your mind wants to express through you; when a person speaks and says things without sense or with some connotation it can be inferred about some mental disorder or about a problem that is currently presenting, let's be careful and listen carefully to our friends, family, we can help them if we are attentive.

The ability we have to reason, to analyze our environment and that of others can help; let's encourage the ability to listen, to put ourselves in the other person's place, to say what we feel without hurting, are little things that we currently need to understand the mind; so I urge you to listen carefully to what the other person tells you, either in written or oral language.

First of all, I ask you to forget the false "taboo" that society maintains "going to a psychiatrist is synonymous with being crazy"; because it is not so, it is a medical specialty that deserves respect and like other specialties has saved lives, has helped many people to improve their behavior, treat a particular disorder, among other things.

Sometimes people suffer because they have that part of their life affected (mind), something that is intangible, but extremely important for each individual; many times we ask for our physical health, but very little or never for the mental, sometimes we think that only a physical ailment can prevent us from doing the things we want and rarely we are interested in mental well-being; if the mind is not well, the rest of the body does not mesh. An important case in the past Olympics, was that of Simone Biles, she had no physical ailment "apparently", but as her mind was not well, she could not compete, perhaps the latter I mention is another issue "Mental Health".
