La vida me rodeó de personas optimistas desde muy temprana edad, una de ellas mi abuela, una mujer que aunque ya no se encuentra en este plano terrenal tenía la mejor cara ante cualquier situación y eso hizo que saliera adelante y viviera sus 75 años de la mejor manera. Ella nos cuido desde que nacimos mis hermanos y yo para que mi mamá pudiera trabajar porque ella apoyaba mucho a mi mamá ya que quedó como madre soltera. A pesar de las situaciones de enfermedad que padecía mi abuela que era diabética y cada cierto tiempo por problemas de circulación sufría de algo llamado celulitis, es como una especie de roncha grande que le salía en la pierna y era muy dolorosa, le causaba fiebre y tenía que mantenerse en cama durante todo el tratamiento. Ella con todo y su dolor siempre nos mostraba que era una persona de fe y optimista, otra cosa que destacaba de su optimismo es que siempre veía el lado bueno de las situaciones y de las personas, ella siempre pensaba que todas las personas tenían algo bueno, en el corazón. Ya que ella era una persona con un corazón muy noble y ayudaba al que podía, hasta regalaba comida o cosas de la casa a los vecinos que se encontraban en una situación económica menos favorable.
Mi mamá también heredó los buenos sentimientos de mi abuela y nos crío con mucho amor, siempre dándonos el ejemplo de que aunque las personas se comportarán de mala manera o hicieran cosas indebidas, no había que tomar represalia porque las cosas siempre terminaban cayendo por su propio peso. Ha logrado conseguir muchas cosas como comprar su casa propia pensando siempre en sus hijos y en que tuvieran un lugar donde puedan vivir tranquilos y ya tenemos tres anos viviendo en este lugar, ojalá en un futuro podamos mudarnos a un sitio mejor y darle de vuelta a mi mamá todo lo que ella nos ha dado hasta el día de hoy porque se lo merece por ser una mujer luchadora y llena de optimismo.
Mi hermano es otra persona que me ha demostrado su optimismo y fuerza de voluntad ante la vida, siempre ha tenido una gran inteligencia y buscaba la manera de ayudarnos en lo que podía cuando éramos pequeños y aún lo hace. Tiene un corazón que vale oro, es muy observador y suele preferir reflexionar en silencio las situaciones antes de dar un paso. Tanto esfuerzo lo ha llevado lejos, ya casi se gradúa de la universidad a pesar de estudiar en una pública, muchas veces teniendo que caminar hasta la universidad que queda muy lejos de donde vivimos y sin tener que comer, aún así el siempre se ha mantenido de pie, haciendo las cosas en silencio pero logrando sus objetivos y se que el va a llegar lejos porque las personas como el que luchan tanto por obtener sus metas terminan logrando cosas increíbles.
Yo no siempre he sido optimista, pero me he dado cuenta que ser optimista es la manera en la que debemos vivir porque dentro de tantos problemas y situaciones que hemos vivido y que en lo personal he experimentado sobre todo en mi salud, he pasado etapas que sin el optimismo no hubiera logrado atravesar. Vivir en un país como Venezuela te lleva a tener que confiar en ti mismo, tener fe, y ser optimista porque las cosas siempre están cambiando y cada día trae sus nuevos afanes. Una de las cosas que hago ahora es agradecer, tanto lo bueno como lo malo porque todo es un aprendizaje y las cosas pasan para dejarnos un mensaje, una experiencia o una anécdota.

Life surrounded me with optimistic people from a very early age, one of them my grandmother, a woman who although she is no longer on this earthly plane had the best face to any situation and that made her go ahead and live her 75 years in the best way. She took care of us since my siblings and I were born so that my mother could work because she supported my mother a lot since she was left as a single mother. In spite of the illnesses my grandmother suffered from, she was diabetic and every once in a while due to circulation problems she suffered from something called cellulitis, it was like a kind of big welt that appeared on her leg and it was very painful, it caused her fever and she had to stay in bed during the whole treatment. She always showed us that she was a person of faith and optimistic, another thing that stood out in her optimism was that she always saw the good side of situations and people, she always thought that all people had something good in their hearts. Since she was a person with a very noble heart, she would help anyone she could, she would even give away food or household items to neighbors who were in a less favorable economic situation.
My mom also inherited my grandmother's good feelings and raised us with a lot of love, always giving us the example that even if people behaved badly or did wrong things, there was no need to retaliate because things always ended up falling under their own weight. She has managed to achieve many things like buying her own house always thinking about her children and that they would have a place where they can live peacefully and we already have three years living in this place, hopefully in the future we can move to a better place and give back to my mom everything she has given us until today because she deserves it for being a woman fighter and full of optimism.
My brother is another person who has shown me his optimism and willpower in the face of life, he has always had a great intelligence and looked for ways to help us in any way he could when we were little and still does. He has a heart that is worth gold, he is very observant and usually prefers to reflect on situations in silence before taking a step. So much effort has taken him far, he is almost graduating from college despite studying in a public university, many times having to walk to the university that is far away from where we live and without having to eat, yet he has always stood up, doing things quietly but achieving his goals and I know he will go far because people like him who fight so hard to achieve their goals end up achieving incredible things.
I have not always been optimistic, but I have realized that being optimistic is the way we should live because in so many problems and situations that we have lived through and that I have personally experienced especially in my health, I have gone through stages that without optimism I would not have been able to get through. Living in a country like Venezuela makes you have to trust yourself, have faith, and be optimistic because things are always changing and every day brings new challenges. One of the things I do now is to be thankful for the good and the bad because everything is a learning process and things happen to leave us a message, an experience or an anecdote.
