For no one is a secret that humanity is moving according to accelerated and overwhelming changes, to such an extent that we must constantly adapt to not be left behind in this wave of evolution that we are living, and without a doubt, it is a task that turns out to be very steep for many of us, imagine now How would a person with a special condition or autism feel?
Wait, pause for a moment Why should we assume that changes in our society should affect people with ASD differently? Let me answer you, I am sure you see them, as people with limitations, when the truth is that they can develop a life as pleasant and effective as yours or mine.
Unfortunately, if you are a person with a mentality associated with the previous question, let me tell you that we must work for a more inclusive society, starting from the fact that it is essential that we provide people with autism, the same opportunities that any person has in terms of meeting their life objectives or goals set, that is, we must be aware and assume that each person regardless of their condition, have unique potential that can be used to grow, learn and achieve their best version.
So I do not intend to make a kind of monologue with this writing, but it is necessary to highlight essential aspects that we must improve, among which unquestionably education stands out.
And to put this point in context, let's analyze the following scenario, once I was in the educational institution where I work, I remember that I was late for a teachers' meeting, and when I entered the office, I found a discussion by one of my coworkers, where the following was clearly mentioned:
“The management must take specific actions, since the teacher in the classroom it is difficult for us to attend to young people with any ASD condition, so we must decide whether to attend to 1 student with ASD and neglect the other 30 or vice versa" and as a rare thing we all point to our circle of comfort, so we decide to pay attention to the 30 who happen to be normal.
But I ask myself How are we able to assume what is normal and what is not? when we must be clear that we all have to have the same opportunities and rights, so starting from the above, I consider it necessary that our educational programs are adapted to meet the individual needs of people with autism, emphasizing the development of inclusive classrooms that are led by teachers trained in understanding the autism spectrum, applying teaching and learning methods that promote cognitive and social development of young people with ASD.
At this point, I assumed the situation from the chemistry classroom as a challenge, I remember that my first action was to talk directly with the boy's representative, to my surprise she was an aunt who was very involved with her nephew, she was even training herself to understand and act fully, executing the necessary actions to follow to help her nephew.
So we got down to work, applying audiovisual strategies that would promote learning, but at the same time arouse the interest of the young person, at the end of the course I could realize that it is possible to manage a classroom with students with autistic effect, we just have to strengthen the bases, seek help and apply the necessary strategies.
In this sense, it is necessary to awaken and promote the understanding and awareness of autism in our society, enough of stigmatization and generate compassionate environments, on the contrary, let's involve young people with ASD in our daily system, giving them the opportunities for them to develop and achieve their goals.
Let us promote inclusive activities from the recreational, sports and social areas that allow people with autism to show themselves as they are and fully enjoy these experiences, thus promoting their emotional and physical development, awakening interest, confidence and sense of belonging.
Ultimately, we must work together to create a society that provides equal opportunities and achievable goals for all people, hence the need to strengthen understanding, empathy and action so that we can build a world where each individual has the right and the possibility to prosper according to his or her goals.

Para nadie es un secreto que la humanidad se mueve en función de cambios acelerados y abrumadores, a tal punto que debemos adaptarnos constantemente para no quedarnos rezagados en esta ola de evolución que estamos viviendo, y sin duda, es una tarea que resulta ser muy empinada para muchos de nosotros, imaginen ahora ¿Cómo se sentiría una persona con alguna condición especial o autismo?
Espera, detente un momento ¿Por qué deberíamos asumir que los cambios de nuestra sociedad deberían afectar de manera diferente a las personas con TEA? Déjame responderte, estoy seguro que los ves, como personas con limitaciones, cuando la verdad es que puede desarrollar una vida tan placentera y eficaz como la tuya o la mía.
Lamentablemente, si eres una persona con una mentalidad asociada con la interrogante anterior, déjame decirte de debemos trabajar por una sociedad más inclusiva, partiendo del hecho, que es fundamental que proporcionemos a las personas con autismo, las mismas oportunidades que tiene cualquiera persona en términos de cumplir sus objetivos de vida o metas trazadas, es decir, debemos ser conscientes y asumir que cada persona indiferentemente de su condición, tienen potencialidades singulares que puede utilizar para crecer, aprender y alcanzar su mejor versión.
De manera que no pretendo realizar una especie de monologo con este escrito, pero si resulta necesario resaltar aspectos esenciales que debemos mejorar, entre los que destacan indiscutiblemente la educación.
Y para que entremos en contexto en este punto, analicemos el siguiente escenario, en una oportunidad me encontraba en la institución educativa donde laboro, recuerdo que llegue tarde a una reunión de profesores, y a mi entrada en la oficina, me encuentro con un debate por parte de uno de los compañeros de trabajo, donde se mencionaba claramente lo siguiente:
“La dirección debe asumir acciones puntuales, ya que el profesor en el aula se nos dificulta atender a jóvenes con alguna condición TEA, por lo que debemos decidir si atender a 1 estudiante con TEA y descuidar a los otros 30 o viceversa” y como cosa rara todos apuntamos a nuestro circulo de confort, por lo que decidimos prestar atención a los 30 que resultan ser normales.
Pero yo me pregunto ¿Cómo somos capaces de asumir que cosa es normal y que no lo es?, cuando debemos estar claros que todos tenemos que tener las mismas oportunidades y derechos, de manera que partiendo de lo anterior, considero necesario que nuestros programas educativos estén adaptados para satisfacer las necesidades individuales de las personas con autismo, haciendo hincapié en el desarrollo de aulas inclusivas que se encuentren dirigidas por docentes capacitados en el entendimiento del espectro autista, aplicando métodos de enseñanza y aprendizaje que fomenten el desarrollo cognitivo y social de los jóvenes con TEA.
En este punto, asumí la situación desde el aula de química como un reto, recuerdo que mi primera acción fue conversar directamente con el representante del chico, para sorpresa era una tía que estaba muy involucrada con su sobrino, incluso venia formándose para comprender y actuar a cabalidad, ejecutando las acciones necesario que debía seguir para ayudar a su sobrino.
Así que nos pusimos manos a la obra, aplicando estrategias audiovisuales que impulsaran el aprendizaje, pero que al mismo tiempo despertaran el interés del joven, al final del curso me pude dar cuenta que, si es posible dirigir un aula con estudiantes del efecto autista, solo debemos afianzar las bases, buscar ayuda y aplicar las estrategias necesarias.
En este sentido, es necesario despertar y promover la comprensión y conciencia del autismo en nuestra sociedad, basta ya, de estigmatización y de generar ambientes compasivos, por el contrario, involucremos a los jóvenes con TEA en nuestro sistema cotidiano, dándole las oportunidades para que ellos desarrollen y alcancen sus metas.
Promovamos actividades inclusivas desde el ámbito recreativo, deportivo y social que permitan a las personas con autismo, mostrase tal como son y disfrutar a plenitud de estas experiencias, fomentando así, su desarrollo emocional y físico, despertando el interés, la confianza y el sentido de pertenecía.
En definitivas cuentas, debemos trabajar juntos para crear una sociedad que brinde igualdad de oportunidades y metas alcanzables para todas las personas, de allí, la necesidad de fortalecer la comprensión, la empatía y la acción para que podemos construir un mundo donde cada individuo tenga el derecho y la posibilidad de prosperar en función de sus objetivos trazados.
