He decidido contarles solo tres anécdotas;

La muñeca de barro

IMG_20220425_095450.jpg

One of the most beautiful moments that I treasure from my childhood was laughing with my mom. I mean that we got together, my sister, she and I, what we call here "telling stories", the difference was that what was narrated were our experiences and those funny memories of his childhood, which were sometimes rather tragic , but that in his way of counting them they became hilarious.

As soon as we saw my mom's face telling the story, past or present, we had fits of laughter, we couldn't stand it, even before we knew what it was about, we laughed nonstop, because she began to contract the muscles of her face and to make those expressions typical of someone who will soon burst out laughing, and his voice became very high-pitched. Obviously the laughter was contagious and we ended up exhausted, and wanting to continue in the row.

Life is not all the time smiling, we had to follow the routine until one day without planning it we returned to that round of memories. Blessed moments! Today, when my mother is no longer alive, these memories are tinged with nostalgia, but in the end a smile always emerges and if I meet up with my sister, the parade of anecdotes forces us to laugh again.

My mother was not one of those who lived with the leash in her hand, nor did she use the popular "flip flop" to throw it at us, and luckily not, because she used wooden swedes, which would have done a lot of damage; she was more assiduous with words, advice and the phrase "let there be peace", when we fought, if we got her out of her boxes she could choose to take away the object in conflict and thus close the problem. He was more complicit, to sympathize with me when my dad was angry.

There are many memories to laugh our heads off, like when the dreams of so much use were spent and they used the other way around to equalize the other side, it is that we were poor with money.

I have decided to tell you only three anecdotes;

The clay doll

IMG_20220425_095450.jpg
My mother was born in the state of Yaracuy, where she lived until she was twelve years old. When I was a little girl I used to play with my friends on the side of a hill, this one had many clods: children's imagination never stops, some larger stones cradled them like dolls and played representing the chores that mothers did with their babies.

One day, "the comadres" were playing with her dolls, she selected a larger lump to be hers, it inadvertently slipped out of her arms and rolled down the hill and fell on another girl's head. also played a little lower.

Who knows why my mom was so amused by that event, which had no serious consequences, fortunately, because the lump crumbled, I imagine that the scene in general, due to its unusualness and everyone's reaction, was funny.

The painted chickens

IMG_20220425_103647.jpg
Once my mother wanted to have chickens, so a fence was built at the back of the patio to lock them up there. I remember that in the afternoons she would open the door for them and they would all go out happily to peck and dig in the rest of the patio; My mom watched them do it for a long time, until she decided, she got into the small corral, she threw them a food called "beak" and called them: "chick, chick, chick" and they all went into a ruckus to eat. Then she would go out and leave them closed again.

The day has come to have chickens and also the day to have chicks. So that they would not be confused with those of the neighbor, (in the neighborhoods there is always someone who wants to take over what belongs to others), he dedicated himself to painting the head of each chicken with gentian violet, with the unexpected result that the hen Seeing them, she did not recognize them as her own and pecked them away, so my mother decided to remove the violet color from them with scissors, the unfortunate-looking chickens were never accepted by the hen again. This event was also cause for many laughs.

The haircut

I already wrote up there that my mother, a bit of an accomplice, always wanted to please us, to the best of her ability, with our tastes and desires. Fashion, which did not stop, was the cause of many disasters.

We began to see on television the haircut that actresses and singers wore at that time. On each side of their faces they had a thick lock of hair, a kind of imitation of female sideburns; the truth was, that both my sister and me, the need to have that hairstyle was generated.

My mother did not let herself be begged much and scissors in hand proceeded to fulfill our wish, my sister must have been the first, she always prevailed, because if she had seen the result in my hair before, she would have repented on the spot. I think my mom went a little overboard on the portions of hair she separated; my sister with very straight hair got an acceptable result, from my point of view, but she didn't like it and she put a lot of clips to push her hair back and avoid showing the mess.

My thick, abundant hair, already flirting with rebellion, refused to accept the mandate of fashion, but I realized that days later when I accumulated enough disapproving looks from family, friends and those of my own mother who without a doubt she had not been satisfied with her work.

I still had no notion of ridicule, but there is nothing that laughter does not cure, besides, hair grows and it is good that it is so and that there are now so many products to solve any irreverence of our hair.

I couldn't help but laugh again when remembering these and other stories that are better not to write. Definitely, mother there is only one and I got the best.
