If there is one virtue that I have suffered throughout my life, it has been the lack of patience. I must admit that it has been a real issue for me, because since I was very young I have been quite impulsive, because I have not let the times run at their own pace, but at mine and this has been a real challenge, to master all the emotions that lead to have an effective and lasting patience, but first let's start with what the term patience means to me. For me, it is the ability I have to dominate my emotions, feelings in pursuit of achieving or waiting for the results I want to get, from a situation, place, person and so applied to all areas of my life.

In my first years of adolescence and youth above all, impatience, filled me with frustration, not getting things to happen at my pace, filled me with a lot of discomfort at the emotional level and even physically, filled me with headache, irritability, stomach ache, anguish. One of the things that I have always had in mind is punctuality to give you an example and when for any circumstance external to me, I could not get to the right place at the right time, that for me was the reason for all the negative emotions, stress, anguish ..., accompanied by nervousness and even embarrassment.

When the issue was different, when the person or persons were late and I had to wait..., it bothered me a lot, because it seemed to me a lack of respect, of tact, in short (I still think about it) and if they did not even take the trouble to tell me the reason for their delay, it was worse..., if I was in love, to say something I could swear, that this would be the only time they would make me wait... and that's how I was going through life. I was trying to calm down, relax, but I couldn't help but be annoyed even for a moment.

As I matured and realized that "God's timing is perfect" as my mother says, I tried to make myself believe it was so, because I had heard of several cases in which many people had been spared from terrible situations, precisely because they did not arrive on time or left late for whatever reason, so I started to give myself a pep talk and to calm down. But one of the things that made me stop my impatience was when I had children, with them I learned that it was not when I wanted them to sleep, it was when their body asked for it, just like with meals and everything else, at least when they were newborns and in their different stages, when they are learning to interact with us, the environment and with their own body.

I was filled with patience, so they learned to walk, eat and everything. I think that with them was my best learning and I felt that it did not cost me anything, because the love of a mother makes up for everything, although sometimes the tiredness won me and won I think it is worth it. As they have been growing and going through the different stages, they have put my patience to the test, but fortunately I have realized, through other experiences that I must take things calmly, tranquility. I have understood that everything passes and that nothing lasts forever and that what will be, will be; this has helped me a lot to control my emotions.

But one of the things that made me stop abruptly in my life, was the moment when I went through a health event that made me stay in one piece and that was when I suffered a very delicate health situation, that after many tests my neurologist doctor did not determine an apparent physical cause, but the stress that I had accumulated because of my mother's illness, breast cancer and all that her operation, treatment and care entailed, were two and a half difficult years for me, since everything fell on me and that generated a lot of tension and physical wear and tear. So much so, that when she was discharged from the hospital in November of that year, I had the "event" as the doctors say on December 23rd of that same year, it was as if I let go and fell.

From there, I took more seriously, to take things calmly and to cultivate my patience, to do my best, if I could not, I could not, not to force the bar in situations, not to torment myself unnecessarily and less because of other people, to solve with what is at hand, if there is no other way, to enjoy the simple things, a good coffee, a reunion with a friend, or a Sunday with my family, I no longer enjoy the simple things, a good coffee, a reunion with a friend, or a Sunday with my family, or a Sunday with family, I no longer anguish for banalities, but for what is really important and even so, I try to slow down my emotions because I know they have repercussions and can be terrible, that's why my mantra today is, "One day at a time" and look how much it has served me, in these times, so relax, if it is in your hands perfect, if not put it in God's hands.

As always I felt full, sharing with you my thoughts and experiences, thanks to the invitation of my dear friend @annafenix, who was kind enough to invite me to this Initiative by friend @damarysvibra. I invite my friend @mercmarg. I hope it was to your liking A virtual hug!
