Saludos Querida Comunidad!!!
English version
In Harmony with Mother Earth" Initiative
When I read the title of the initiative, "In Harmony with Mother Earth" I could not help but see what it consisted of, it was as if my inner voice was telling me to share my experience since I have been linked for many years to this task of doing educational work and connecting with the Earth. The beloved Pachamama, as our ancestors call her, expects us, her children, to be more conscious and respectful with her and that has been and will continue to be one of my functions as long as my body is in her.
I particularly believe that to be in harmony with mother earth we must be in harmony with ourselves, love ourselves, respect ourselves, value ourselves and take care of ourselves, only then we can do it with her.
My task to be in Harmony with mother earth has been that first of all to know myself, who I am, what I do here and what is my contribution.
I have been doing activities with children for more than 20 years and the awareness of these aspects of who they are and what they are doing here and the importance of the connection with the earth have been fundamental.
The activities have been the contact with the earth, understanding that we are also the earth, cells of the earth and that we have an important function as a species.
I am lucky enough to have a green area in front of my house, where I deposit all the food waste I prepare, and I have made compost with the children from which we get the nutrients for when we plant our plants.
A month after having removed the compost, we proceed to sift what we can extract from the compost to mix it with black soil.
We use this soil to make seedbeds, we can use egg cartons or plastic containers for our different plants.
Here the children planted aji dulce seeds in May, after going through the whole process of preparing the soil and seedbeds and naming their plants, here we see @isabellasofiarr and @enderbarrio 4 years ago.
The process is not only about planting the seed, but also about nurturing the soil, and the children were also taught how to make organic fertilizer.
After a lot of care, love, and energy, our beautiful fruits were born in November, six months later.
It is wonderful to see how nature responds to the connection and gives us in abundance.
Children with the fruits of their harvest.
I have been doing this task for several years, with various groups, encouraging children to love, respect, and gratitude to the earth, here with my dear @isabellasofiarr, @enderjbarrios, @andreablogg, and @chanekydibujos already today teenagers.
Children love this contact with the earth.
It is to live the whole process with them so that they can appreciate what the land gives us.
Another activity I do with the children is watering the plants in the area during the summer. We put intention and love into the water with which we water.
Throughout the summer, we perform this action once or twice a week.
One of the ways to return to harmony with the earth is to return to the roots of our ancestors who knew how to live with nature.
More than learning is to remember our connection to the earth, starting with the children who are the future of the earth.
To awaken in adults this awareness to be able to accompany our children.
Here are the children with their bamboo plants that we planted recently, I told them what I was sharing with the initiative.
It has been a real pleasure and joy to participate in this initiative that reaffirms my commitment to the earth and to contribute to expanding awareness and actions that commit us to respect and accompany the earth as our Mother that she is, in gratitude for all her unconditional Love and becoming the children she deserves.
I extend my invitation to @isabellasofiarr and @andreablogg to share their experience, thanks to the community @holos-lotus, @NaturalMedicine, and @riverflows for this wonderful initiative.
Thanks for reading my post!
