When you have tattoos people will ask the meaning, sometimes I can't help but laugh about it. I have tattoos that are very meaningful, but some others were just out of an impulse, and that doesn't make them less important nor does it mean I regret them. They hold their own beauty, and I love them equally. People usually believe my Edgar Allan Poe has a deep meaning, when I actually got it because 'why not?'.
Cuando tienes tatuajes las personas suelen preguntar el significado, hay veces que no puedo evitar reirme al respecto. Tengo tatuajes muy significativos para mi, pero hay otros que sencillamente fueron una decisión impulsiva, y eso no los hace menos importantes asi como tampoco significa que me arrepienta de ellos. Todos tienen su belleza, y creo que amo a todos por igual. Las personas suelen pensar que mi Edgar Allan Poe es super significativo, cuando en realidad me lo hice 'porque si'.
Some tattoos are there because I wanted to fill that space, or because I thought it would look good... Some of them are inner jokes, like my most recent tattoo. I was home alone and i was super bored, so I started organizing my supplies and then I remembered that a couple of weeks ago I thought of getting "うまい", which is a japanese adjective for good or delicious.
Hay tatuajes que simplemente estan alli para rellenar un espacio, o porque me parece que se veian bien... Incluso un par de chistes internos, como el mas reciente. Me quede sola en casa y estaba sumamente aburrida, asi que me puse a organizar mis materiales de tattoo y fue asi como recorde que hace unas semanas se me ocurrió tatuarme "うまい", el adjetivo japonés indicativo de que algo está bueno o delicioso.
The joke was to get it in the area between my hip and thigh, so I got to it. First I wrote it and made a stencil, placed it on the area and worked on my table while it dried up. Unfortunately, being a self tattoo, I could not get too many pictures, because when I started the process I was wearing my gloves and I didn't want to compromise the materials risking a cross contamination by manipulating objects such as my cellphone.Once it was done, I added a tiny heart at the bottom.
El chiste es que me lo haria en la zona entre la cadera y el muslo, asi que puse manos a la obra. Primero escribiendo y realizando la plantilla, colocandolo en la zona deseada y mientras secaba me dispuse a preparar la mesa de trabajo. Lamentablemente al ser autotatuaje no pude tomar muchas fotos, ya que al iniciar el proceso ya llevaba guantes puestos y no iba a comprometer el material arriesgando a una contaminación cruzada al estar manipulando objetos y el teléfono. Una vez terminado, decidi agregar un pequeño corazon en la parte inferior.
I made it small because later I can decide if I want to keep it, or if I will get it covered up. By now I am happy with how it looks in that area, besides I wanted to try the ink I got recently. It was very uncomfortable but quick, and I thought that area would be more painful, but I believe it's because when you get a self tattoo you are too focused on tattooing and don't really feel pain.
Lo hice pequeño pues ya luego decidiré si lo conservo, o si lo cubro con otra cosa más adelante. De momento me gusta mucho como queda en la zona, además de que queria probar una tinta que compre hace poco. Fue un proceso incómodo pero rápido, y para la zona pensé que doleria un poco más, aunque creo que al hacer autotatuajes uno se concentra tanto que no siente dolor como tal.
