On 12/29/2021 many of us in the SPL Discord decided to throw out a few guesses on where SPS would lie in 1 weeks time. On 1/5/22 the close price for SPS was .196 which means @ora-et-labora was the closest with his guess of .20. Still a couple hours till payout on the original post but I'll send it out asap.

I found this to be quite a fun little bet and honestly, the price movement surprised me to some degree. As such lets get one more bet in for SPS price for the Chaos Legion general sale full launch date (1/17/22). This date is largely been speculated on in the discord in terms of how it will impact SPS price. Generally the main change driver here is this date will correlate to a MASSIVE increase in packs on the market and of course cards.

Price Updates

Since our original bet there has been some major news from the US fed meeting minutes related to increasing interest rates which has caused some serious strife in the crypto community. Across the board, crypto has been in a free fall. For those of you wondering why I'll give a quick ELI5.

ELI5:
Generally speaking when interest rates are low, it is easy to borrow USD. In turn this lowers the value of USD in relation to other currencies both fiat (Euro, Yen, etc) and Crypto (SPS, BTC, ETH). The reverse of this is also true though. When the US gov opts to attempt to strengthen the dollar one method is via raising the fed interest rate. This is so far what it looks like they are going to do and as a result this will drop the value of all other currencies in relation to the USD.
