Time to break down the earnings for the past season and how it went. I felt it was lower because I was pretty busy with work and also with falling DEC prices, less DEC is paid out per battle.
So the total Splinterlands earnings for the past season was: 2,629 DEC. The breakdown is as follows:
- Rentals: 1,534 DEC
- Quest Rewards: 121 DEC
- Ranked Battle Rewards: 951 DEC
- Ranked Season Rewards: 23 DEC
That's quite a big drop and the big falls were in the Ranked Battle Rewards that fell by half and also the quest rewards that was around 800 DEC lower from the previous season.
So, is this a sign of things to come? It is a more sustainable level, for sure. I am curious to see how the general sale in 15 hours will do and that will dictate DEC prices and earnings prices for many seasons to come.
My prediction is that DEC gets sold off to buy packs, dragging down the battle rewards and quest rewards, and we see the earnings go to about a quarter of current levels in the long term.
