I can’t believe it’s already more than a week since I finished hiking the Whale Trail in the De Hoop Nature Reserve along the South Coast of South Africa. It’s a pretty unique spot, untouched by people other than the original old fishing huts, some of which are derelict and a few restored for the 5 day hikers to stay in overnight.
I took these on the night before we started hiking. The sky was beautifully backlit by a setting sun with a dramatic stretch of clouds.
The ladies were all eating dinner in the kitchen while I hung around the side door of Potberg hut to capture this beautiful moment.
