Love the Clouds: Human Things

"If you want to see something beautiful, you have to look at the sky ..." I heard this line a few nights ago from the TV.

"A Room with a View" was the movie they were broadcasting at the moment.

I didn't watch it, I was doing something else in the kitchen at the moment. But those words caught my attention.

And I remembered again Thales of Miletus. 😊

I have always envied birds for being able to fly freely in the sky.

But now I think about the following question - can they realize their privilege?

And don't they mainly observe the earth in their flight in the sky?

Do they raise their heads to the sky as soon as they land on the ground

to see and enjoy this beauty there -

the boundless beauty of the sky, comparable in infinity and beauty only to the ocean.

And aren't we the only beings - those who can't fly, but who are given the ability to raise our heads, look up, see, realize the majesty and beauty of nature, enjoy and worship.

To bow down before it, while actually raising our heads towards it.

And are we taking advantage of this ability and opportunity, actually?

Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you.
