Cloudy Days
Clouds, in their different shapes and colors, are a fascinating and ever-changing natural phenomenon that has captivated the attention and imagination of musicians, poets, artists and scientists alike for centuries.
As a consequence of the start of the rainy season over the country at the beginning of this month, in addition to the hurricane season in the North Atlantic, the skies over my city have been quite cloudy for the last few weeks, some of them even with rains of varying degrees of intensity.
But in addition to the fact that some days have not been clear due to the above, there are no clearly defined or identifiable cloud formations, but rather a kind of haze that hides the blue sky and does not allow us to see clouds clearly.
These photos were taken a few days ago from the balcony of my apartment and from the window of my room in an east-west direction, and although it seemed to presage a strong storm, the truth is that a few minutes later a few drops of water fell that stopped quickly, but without the intensity that I initially expected.
As I have described in previous posts, I usually process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the Picsart and Snapseed applications for cell phones.
Las nubes en sus diferentes formas y colores, son un fenómeno natural fascinante y en permanente cambio que ha cautivado por siglos la atención e imaginación de músicos, poetas, artistas y científicos por igual.
Como consecuencia del inicio de la temporada de lluvias sobre el país a principios de este mes, además de la temporada de huracanes en el Atlántico Norte, las últimas semanas los cielos de mi ciudad han estado bastante nublados, algunos incluso con lluvias de diferentes grados de intensidad.
Pero más allá de que algunos días no han estado despejados por lo anteriormente descrito, tampoco se observan formaciones nubosas claramente definidas o identificables, sinó que se observa como una especie de bruma que esconde el azul del cielo y no permite apreciar nubes de forma nítida.
Estas fotos las tomé unos días atrás desde el balcón de mi apartamento y desde la ventana de mi habitación en sentido este-oeste, y aunque parecía presagiar una fuerte tempestad, lo cierto es que algunos pocos minutos después cayeron algunas gotas de agua que cesaron rápido, pero sin la intensidad que esperaba inicialmente.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales acostumbro procesarlas haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed para teléfonos móviles.
