Celebration Day
A cloud is a meteorological phenomenon visible to the naked eye that basically consists of microscopic water droplets or ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere.
In a wide variety of shapes and colors, clouds occur in nature, ranging from white, fluffy cumulus clouds to dark, menacing clouds that presage storms.
Since ancient times, clouds have been used as metaphors for a wide range of human emotions and experiences, from joy to melancholy.
Early last year, the elder of my two sons received his degree in Computer Engineering at a ceremony held in the main auditorium of his alma mater, located on the outskirts of the city of Caracas, in a place characterized by a temperate climate and lush vegetation.
The ceremony was held in the late morning of that day, however, the graduates, coming from various undergraduate and postgraduate careers, and family and friends, gathered early to try to immortalize in images those moments of joy and celebration, while the university authorities were present in the enclosure.
During the wait and after taking some pictures with my children, I toured part of the campus before the ceremony began, taking the opportunity to photograph the buildings and the extensive green areas of the university.
Una nube es un fenómeno meteorológico visible a simple vista que consiste básicamente en gotas de agua o cristales de hielo microscópicos suspendidos en la atmósfera.
Con una gran variedad de formas y colores, las nubes se presentan en la naturaleza, desde cúmulos blancos y esponjosos hasta oscuras y amenazadoras nubes que presagian tempestades.
Desde tiempos ancestrales, las nubes se han utilizado como metáforas de un amplia abanico de emociones y experiencias humanas, desde la alegría hasta la melancolía.
A principios del año pasado, el mayor de mis dos hijos recibió su título de Ingeniero de Computación en un acto celebrado en el auditorio principal de su alma mater, ubicada en las afueras de la ciudad de Caracas, en un lugar caracterizado por un clima templado y una frondosa vegetación.
El acto se realizó a finales de la mañana de aquel día, sin embargo, los graduandos, provenientes de diversas carreras de pre y posgrado, y los familiares y amigos, nos reunimos temprano para procurar inmortalizar en imágenes aquellos momentos de alegría y celebración, mientras las autoridades universitarias se hacían presentes en el recinto.
Durante la espera y luego de tomarme algunas fotos con mis hijos, recorrí parte del campus antes de que se iniciara la ceremonia, aprovechando para fotografiar las edificaciones y las extensas áreas verdes con las que cuenta la universidad.
