Venezuela posee una rica variedad gastronómica especialmente en dulces y postres, donde cada venezolano pone un toque especial en cada receta dándolo por lo general, la suavidad, el color y la textura en cada preparación.

Soy nativo de Venezuela, país donde nací y vivo, hoy quiero compartir con todos ustedes, este rico postre típico de mi país, que lo aprendí viendo a mi abuela por parte de mama, a mis tías y a mi madre, disfrutábamos sobre todo los fines de semanas de estos ricos postre que enamoraba a los mas pequeñitos de la casa, saltábamos de alegría cada vez que iban hacer este rico postre que es un manjar como decía mi abuela, recuerdo esos momentos tan especiales al lado de ella, como le dala duro a esa paleta para que quedara una mezcla bien homogénea del famoso "Majarete de Coco". Mi abuela nos contaba que ella hacia este postre y salía a venderlos en las escuelas donde estudiaban sus hijos a la hora del recreo.

I am a native of Venezuela, country where I was born and live, today I want to share with all of you, this rich dessert typical of my country, I learned it watching my grandmother on my mother's side, my aunts and my mother, we enjoyed especially on weekends of these rich dessert that the little ones of the house fell in love with, We jumped for joy every time they were going to make this rich dessert that is a delicacy as my grandmother said, I remember those special moments with her, as she gave it hard to that palette to get a homogeneous mixture of the famous "Majarete de Coco". My grandmother told us that she made this dessert and went out to sell them in the schools where her children studied at recess time.

Otro de los recuerdos que vienen siempre a mi mente era que mi abuela nos hacia este rico majarete para la familia, pero después lo empezó hacer nuevamente para vender y allí la ayudaba mis tías y mi madre, y un día me sorprendió cuando la vi vendiendo en la cerca de mi escuela donde yo estudiaba los pedazos de majarete que hasta las maestras compraban, son momentos inolvidables que se viven al lado de nuestros seres queridos y cuando se hacen con amor y pasión lo que te gusta deja los mejores recuerdos que lo atesoramos en lo mas profundo de nuestro corazón . Y una de las cosas importante es que son preparaciones que van de generación en generación porque hoy en día lo hacen mis tías, mi madre y ahora yo lo hago para mis hijos y para compartir con todos ustedes que también son parte de mi familia, es poreso que escogí esta receta tan especial para participar en este valioso concurso.

El majarete es un postre típico de Venezuela, es consumido mayormente en tiempos de semana santa, especialmente en balnearios, ricos y playas y también han estado presente en las mesas de vendimia que se hacían antes. Pero también lo podemos disfrutar cualquier día del año en familia.

El majarete por su parte es un postre con un intenso sabor a coco, y de textura firme, similar a la de un flan. Ahora empezaremos con la preparación paso a paso de este delicioso postre casero, lleno de tradición venezolana.

### Ingredientes: # - 1 coco. - 500g de harina de maiz. - 500ml de leche liquida. - Un litro de agua. - 600g de azucar. -Una pizca de sal. - 2 Palitos de canela. - Una bolsita de canela en polvo. - Una cuchada de vainilla. - 5 clavitos de olor. - 2 pequeñas tiras de la concha de la naranja.

### Ingredients: # - 1 coconut. - 500g corn flour. - 500ml of liquid milk. - 1 liter of water. - 600g sugar. -A pinch of salt. - 2 cinnamon sticks. - A bag of cinnamon powder. - A spoonful of vanilla. - 5 cloves. - 2 small strips of orange peel.

### Paso1 # Sacaremos la pulpa del coco, se pica en pedazos, le quitamos toda la corteza oscura y lo rayamos por el lado de los orificios mas pequeño del rayo.

### Paso 2 # Mientras rayamos el coco, colocamos una olla mediana con un litro de agua esperamos que esta hierva y le agregamos el coco y dejamos cocinar a fuego lento para obtener la leche del coco, sin tener que colar el coco así tendremos un mayor sabor intenso del coco, y revolvemos con una paleta de madera, luego colocamos 2 palitos de canela, la pizca de sal, la vainilla para darle un toque de color , los clavitos de olor, y las tiritas de la concha de la naranja, luego agregamos la azúcar y la leche, seguimos revolviendo y dejamos cocinar.

### Paso 3 # Cuando haya hervido retiramos los palitos de canela, los clavitos de olor y las tiritas de la concha de naranja.

### Paso 4 # En esta preparación diluiremos la harina de maíz en tres tazas e agua, es importante hacer esta técnica para cuando agreguemos la harina en el liquido caliente no se nos empelotes la mezcla. Agregaremos la harina de maíz ya diluida poco a poco con mucho cuidado para no quemarnos, es importante no dejar de revolver para que no se nos haga grumos y podamos obtener una mezcla bien homogénea. Se deja cocinar aproximadamente durante 10 minutos mas hasta que empiece a espesar sin dejar de revolver. ¿Cuándo sabremos si nuestro majarete esta listo? Cuando tenga una consistencia bien firme y consistente.

### Paso 5 # Se retira del fuego y colocamos en un envase luego con una cucharilla empezamos a extender para que nos quede equilibrado y bonito, después espolvoreamos con un poco de canela. Lo dejamos enfriar y refrigeramos durante una hora y ya nuestro delicioso majarete de coco esta listo para servir.
