My Holozing Fan-Art: Miu Miu and Healer of the Ocean

My flight was delayed for almost 7 hours, which meant I was stuck in the airport for the same duration. This gave me some time to work on my next #Holozing fan #art while waiting for my flight to proceed. I don't really mind the wait because there are areas in Clark Airport where I can comfortably do some work; however, the disappointing part is that no notice was sent to me about the delay. I learned about it only when I asked the info desk at the airport. Since it had already happened and there was nothing I could do about it, I decided to make something out of it to pass time and do something creative.

For today's fan art, I took inspiration from Miu Miu's character and the Healer of the Ocean character and basically blended them together. And here's the final result!

For this artwork, I created it differently from what I usually do. The major difference is that with this new artwork, I'm using a much bigger canvas size. From 2170 x 1760 pixels, I've increased it to 4000 x 3000 pixels. With this increased canvas size, the resolution appears more dense and my brush lines appear finer than in my previous works. I think this is a good way to explore what I can do with ProCreate by pushing beyond what I thought was the limit and also to explore new methods to see how they will turn out.

My workflow is about the same as usual. First, I created a rough sketch of the interaction between Miu Miu and the Healer. I wanted to show a nice interaction between them, so I posed the Healer hugging Miu Miu until he feels slightly annoyed about it.

After I felt happy with the sketch, I worked on the final lines of the artwork.

The coloring part was a bit tricky because of the transparent objects that the Healer is wearing. I wanted to create the illusion that she's wearing something both reflective and refractive. Although I achieved something close to what I wanted, I think it requires improvement to get a perfect effect.

For the background work, I created a simple "wallpaper" effect to give it a "homey" vibe. Then I chose a pink color to add a feminine touch.

The highlights and shades were achieved through a simple application of "screen" and "multiply" effects, using subtle shades of grey to create the final result.

Overall, this piece represents a fusion of characters and an exploration of new techniques in my digital art journey. I'm excited to continue pushing my boundaries and refining my skills with each new creation.
