Danaus chrysippus or better known as one of the caterpillars that will evolve into the African monarch butterfly, and of course this species can attract the attention of everyone throughout the world both when they are still caterpillars and after evolving into a butterfly, species Known for its unique color and body shape, Danaus chrysippus can be found in various places ranging from grasslands, bushes and also city parks.

Danaus chrysippus also has a symbiotic relationship with its host plant, especially plants from the genus Aclepias, this caterpillar develops from eggs laid by the African monarch butterfly and after hatching this caterpillar will devour all the leaves around it to grow, the closeness of this caterpillar with plants of the genus aclepias it can protect them from attacks by predators, for example predatory insects and also insect-hunting birds, that's why you don't find these caterpillars in the garden and usually they are under the leaves and very hidden.
