Marigold flowers

Marigold or in Indonesian it is called the gemitir flower, is an ornamental flower that is famous for its bright and attractive yellow to orange colors. This flower has the Latin name Tagetes erecta L. and comes from the same Asteraceae family as chrysanthemums, dahlias and sunflowers.

Marigolds have upright stems and round leaves that grow alternately. This flower has petals arranged in several rows and consists of yellow, orange, or dark red. Marigolds are usually grown as annuals or as insect repellents.
