On a cold and overcast morning, I explored the dampest and shadiest part of the forest in my village, looking for something interesting to document. By luck, my eye was caught by the white glow of some mushrooms growing on a rotting tree trunk. This mushroom, although simple, attracts attention with its gentle curves and porcelain white color that stands out in the dark.

Taking out my camera which I had prepared with a macro lens, I began to approach, careful not to disturb the mushroom or its surrounding habitat. I adjusted the camera settings to capture the smallest details—the fine textures on the mushrooms' surfaces and the nearly perfect patterns they form.

NOTE: I first wrote the article above in Indonesian, which is my own language, then I translated it using English with the help of Goggle.
