En esta ocasión quise participar en este concurso. Es la primera vez que participo en un concurso dentro de hive, espero hacerlo lo mejor posible. Pues, me enteré de este concurso y quise participar, lo primero que vino a mi mente fue la pregunta de a quién darle un obsequio ya que agradezco a Dios y a la vida el poder estar rodeada de personas especiales y que cada día me dicen que me aman a su modo. Pero decidí participar haciéndole un detalle a mi hijo mayor, acá en Hive lo conocen como @filoriologo.
Creo que el día del amor y la amistad es un día muy lindo donde de manera especial podemos decirle a nuestros seres queridos lo mucho que los amamos y lo mucho que nos importan.
Decidí hacerle una pintura, un pequeño cuadro de madera con la imagen de San Francisco de Asís,ya que este personaje tiene un significado muy especial para mi hijo, y más allá de lo religioso San Francisco es uno de los personajes históricos que mi hijo más admira.
El primer paso que realicé fue que lijé la madera, con el propósito de que la pieza de madera esté mas suave a la hora de dibujar y pintar el trabajo sea más prolijo.
El siguiente paso fue dibujar la imagen, decidí darle un estilo de caricaturas, aunque admito que el dibujo es de las materias que debo cursar, cuando intento dibujar algo siempre le doy un aire a caricatura, creo que es mas por falta de talento, que por voluntad o estilo (risas). Luego procedí a pintar...
Al pintar lo hice segmento a segmento, poco a poco, cada parte a su tiempo. Esperar que seque la zona pintada para luego proceder con la otra. Creo que es de los pasos que más requiere más paciencia, también mucha concentración, ya que es importante tener la atención necesaria para que el proceso artístico quedé como es deseado.
Ahora bien, luego de aplicar la pintura en general, lograr haber coloreado por completo, hay que esperar el tiempo necesario para que todo seque muy muy bien. Y ya cuando todo este seco, apliqué el brillo para un mejor acabado, el brillo lo que hará es lograr un mejor acabado y darle protección a la pieza, así hacer de este trabajo algo más duradero, ya que le protejeriamos del polvo por ejemplo. Ya que el brillo es como una especie de cera o mejor dicho una capa protectora.
Estos fueron todos los pasos que ocupe para realizar este detalle que le obsequie a mi hijo, así como lo ven en la fotografía que sigue:
Creo que para dar un lindo obsequio solo hacen falta dos cosas cariño por obsequiar y poder conocer un poco a la persona, saber que desea. En mi caso, sabía que el le tiene un cariño especial a San Francisco de Asís, y sabía que no poseía ninguna imagen de él. Por eso, sentí que sería un detalle muy lindo. Además creo que hace unos meses atras el me habia comentado que queria una imagen de San Francisco, pero como mi memoria a veces puede resultar poco fiable, no estoy segura de si me dijo o no esto.
Ohhh!! Casí olvido comentarles que por la parde de atras del cuadro, le hice un pequeño hueco para que pudiese ser colgado en la pared.

This time I wanted to participate in this contest. It is the first time I participate in a contest within hive, I hope to do my best. Well, I heard about this contest and I wanted to participate, the first thing that came to my mind was the question of who to give a gift to because I thank God and life to be surrounded by special people and every day they tell me that they love me in their own way. But I decided to participate by making a detail to my eldest son, here in Hive they know him as @filoriologo.
I think the day of love and friendship is a very nice day where in a special way we can tell our loved ones how much we love them and how much we care about them.
I decided to make him a painting, a small wooden picture with the image of St. Francis of Assisi, since this character has a very special meaning for my son, and beyond the religious, St. Francis is one of the historical figures that my son most admires.
The first step I did was that I sanded the wood, with the purpose that the piece of wood is smoother at the time of drawing and painting the work is neater.
The next step was to draw the image, I decided to give it a cartoon style, although I admit that drawing is one of the subjects I have to study, when I try to draw something I always give it a cartoon style, I think it is more for lack of talent, than by will or style (laughs). Then I proceeded to paint...
When I painted I did it segment by segment, little by little, each part in its own time. Waiting for the painted area to dry and then proceeding with the other. I think this is one of the steps that requires more patience, also a lot of concentration, since it is important to have the necessary attention so that the artistic process is as desired.
Now, after applying the paint in general, having colored completely, you have to wait the necessary time for everything to dry very very well. And when everything is dry, I applied the gloss for a better finish, the gloss what it will do is to achieve a better finish and give protection to the piece, thus making this work more durable, as we protect it from dust for example. Since the gloss is like a kind of wax or rather a protective layer.
These were all the steps I took to make this detail that I gave to my son, as you can see in the picture below:
I believe that to give a nice gift you only need two things: love to give a gift and to know the person a little bit, to know what he/she wants. In my case, I knew that he has a special affection for St. Francis of Assisi, and I knew that he did not have any image of him. Therefore, I felt it would be a very nice detail. Also, I think he had told me a few months ago that he wanted a picture of St. Francis, but since my memory can sometimes be unreliable, I'm not sure if he told me this.
Ohhh, I almost forgot to tell you that I made a small hole in the back of the picture so that it could be hung on the wall.
