El día de hoy compartiré con ustedes el proceso de creación de mi primer Pokémon. Aprovechando que últimamente he estado haciendo algunos FanArts como: Jack Frost (El origen de los Guardianes) y Jim Hawkins (El planeta del tesoro), hoy decidí hacer otro FanArt, pero esta vez algo distinto.
Últimamente, no he tenido inspiración en dibujar, me he sentido muy cansado, así que la inspiración no era mucha, incluso he estado haciendo el boceto del dibujo navideño, pero aún no me convence al 100% así que ese dibujo será para después, aún queda tiempo jaja.
Viendo que no podía salir de mi bloqueo creativo, decidí un dibujo que fuera "sencillo" de hacer y que me relajara, es por eso que decidí hacer a Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur es un Pokémon de tipo planta y veneno que es originario de la primera generación de Pokémones, de hecho es el primero Pokémon registrado en la Pokédex, junto a él también salieron dos Pokémones más: Squirtle y Charmander. Ellos tres conforman los Pokémones iniciales de la primera generación, son los que te dan a escoger al empezar el juego.

- Today I will share with you the process of creating my first Pokémon. Taking advantage of the fact that lately I've been making some FanArts like: Jack Frost (Origin of the Guardians) and Jim Hawkins (Treasure Planet), today I decided to make another FanArt, but this time something different.
- Lately, I haven't had inspiration in drawing, I've been feeling very tired, so the inspiration wasn't much, I've even been doing the sketch of the Christmas drawing, but I'm still not 100% convinced so that drawing will be for later, there's still time haha.
- Seeing that I couldn't get out of my creative block, I decided a drawing that was "simple" to do and that would relax me, that's why I decided to do Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur is a plant and poison type Pokémon that is originally from the first generation of Pokémon, in fact it is the first Pokémon registered in the Pokédex, along with him also came out two more Pokémon: Squirtle and Charmander. These three make up the initial Pokémon of the first generation, they are the ones you are given to choose when you start the game.

Decidí hacer a Bulbasaur porque fue el primero que se me vino a la mente jaja, y porque es mi favorito de los tres. Su diseño es simple y su paleta de colores es muy limitada, así que era la opción perfecta para hacer un dibujo rápido y relajante.
Al hacer el boceto me imaginé a Bulbasaur sentado en el césped y sonriéndole a la vida, de hecho el primer boceto que hice fue el definitivo, lo único que se me complicó fueron las enredaderas, no sabía cómo hacer la segunda que es la que está agarrando una margarita, pero después de un rato pude terminar el boceto. Para hacer los colores base solo utilicé los colores originales, pero les subí un poco la saturación y el brillo, ya que los colores originales son un poco opacos a mi gusto. También utilicé colores verdes para las enredaderas y el césped y tono blanco para la margarita, que es lo único diferente del dibujo.
Una vez que tenía los colores base listos, dupliqué la capa, usando las teclas CTRL+U lo oscurecí un poco y usando las teclas CTRL+B en la misma capa llevé esa misma capa oscura a unos tonos verdosos. Después de realizar ese proceso de sombras, en una capa diferente agregué las luces, aquí lo único que hice fue utilizar colores más claros para aplicar luces en las partes más expuestas a la luz.
- I decided to do Bulbasaur because he was the first one that came to my mind haha, and because he is my favorite of the three. His design is simple and his color palette is very limited, so he was the perfect choice to make a quick and relaxing drawing.
- When I made the sketch I imagined Bulbasaur sitting on the grass and smiling at life, in fact the first sketch I made was the final one, the only thing that complicated me were the vines, I didn't know how to make the second one which is the one that is holding a daisy, but after a while I was able to finish the sketch. To make the base colors I only used the original colors, but I raised the saturation and brightness a little, since the original colors are a little opaque to my taste. I also used green colors for the vines and the grass and a white tone for the daisy, which is the only thing different from the drawing.
- Once I had the base colors ready, I duplicated the layer, using the CTRL+U keys I darkened it a little bit and using the CTRL+B keys on the same layer I took that same dark layer to some greenish tones. After doing this shadows process, in a different layer I added the lights, here the only thing I did was to use lighter colors to apply lights in the parts more exposed to the light.
Una vez realizado el estudio de color llegó la hora de colorear, para ello empecé por el rostro, debo aclarar que en este dibujo no habrá mucho detalle, de hecho utilice un pincel más liso de lo normal para darle una textura algo 3D. Una vez aclarado ese punto, lo primero que hice fue ir mezclando los tonos de una manera más uniforme, también añadí reflejos en la nariz y en otras partes del rostro, luego hice la boca, aquí solo pulí algunos detalles y poco a poco fui borrando las líneas del boceto. Luego coloreé las manchas que están en la parte superior del rostro y también le agregué un borde con un tono más claro.
Después de tener el rostro terminado, procedí a colorear el cuerpo. Lo primero que hice fue agregar algunas sombras extra y luego fui uniendo y puliendo cada una de las zonas, también agregué algunos tonos más claros en las dos patas delanteras para darle un mayor reflejo, por último coloreé la para de atrás y las manchas que poseen cada una de las patas.
Una vez que terminé de colorear al personaje procedí a colorear la flor que tiene en la espalda, honestamente esa flor es un detalle que le da más originalidad al personaje. Este paso fue sencillo, ya que lo único que hice fue unir los tonos y pronunciar un poco las capas de hojas con un tono oscuro de verde, esto es para que se diferencien que son varias hojas las que recubren esa zona. Después coloreé las enredaderas, utilizando tonos claros y oscuros de verde y agregando pequeños detalles para darle aún más vida. Para finalizar coloreé la margarita.
- Once the color study was done it was time to color, for this I started with the face, I must clarify that in this drawing there will not be much detail, in fact I used a smoother brush than normal to give it a 3D texture. Once clarified that point, the first thing I did was to mix the tones in a more uniform way, I also added reflections in the nose and other parts of the face, then I did the mouth, here I only polished some details and little by little I was erasing the lines of the sketch. Then I colored the spots that are in the upper part of the face and I also added a border with a lighter tone.
- After having the face finished, I proceeded to color the body. The first thing I did was to add some extra shadows and then I was joining and polishing each of the areas, I also added some lighter tones in the two front legs to give it a greater reflection, finally I colored the back and the spots that have each of the legs.
- Once I finished coloring the character I proceeded to color the flower on his back, honestly that flower is a detail that gives more originality to the character. This step was simple, since the only thing I did was to unite the tones and pronounce a little the layers of leaves with a dark shade of green, this is to differentiate that there are several leaves that cover that area. Then I colored the vines, using light and dark shades of green and adding small details to give it even more life. Finally I colored the daisy.
Para finalizar coloreé el césped, mezclando mejor los tonos y oscureciendo más la sombra que está debajo del personaje, también le añadí un par de rocas para que no se viera muy vacía esa zona. Por último agregué algunas hojas cayendo, honestamente era el detalle que le faltaba para que el dibujo se viera completo, pero no tan sobrecargado y que el fondo le quitará protagonismo al personaje.
- To finish I colored the grass, mixing the tones better and darkening more the shadow that is under the character, I also added a couple of rocks so that the area didn't look too empty. Finally I added some falling leaves, honestly it was the detail that was missing to make the drawing look complete, but not so overloaded and that the background would take away the protagonism of the character.
🌱🌿 ¡Y listo amigos! Espero que les haya gustado el dibujo, es algo muy diferente a lo que acostumbro hacer, es mi primera vez haciendo a un Pokémon, pero estoy muy feliz con el resultado.
