En una nota anterior (y primera vez que hablo sobre mis gustos musicales en Hive), comente el video/canción de Yoruwa Honoka de EVE, y acompañe la publicación con los aretes de Akame-Kun que hice.
Para que el trabajo pudiera apreciarse mejor (animo experimental) incluí varios gif modelándolos. Tome muchos pensando en que quería hacer 2 publicaciones (una hablando de la canción y otro mostrando la elaboración de los aretes).
In a previous post (and first time talking about my musical tastes on Hive), I commented on the video/song of Yoruwa Honoka by EVE, and accompanied the post with the Akame-Kun earrings I made.
So that the work could be better appreciated (experimental mood) I included several gifs modeling them. I took a lot of them thinking that I wanted to make 2 posts (one talking about the song and the other showing the earrings elaboration).

A primera vista su diseño es bastante limpio y simple pero la verdad es que para sacarlos tuve que tomar muchísimas capturas y detallar los fotogramas del video musical, porque en cada escena, los aretes cambian de forma y tamaño.
At first glance their design is quite clean and simple, but the truth is that to get them I had to take a lot of captures and detail the frames of the music video, because in each scene, the earrings change shape and size.

Después de ver muchas veces el video, puedes notar rápidamente que por el estilo de animación la silueta y el tamaño del arete cambia bastante.
Por esa razón tome muchas capturas a lo largo del vídeo, y calqué los fotogramas que me gustaron más.
After watching the video many times, you can quickly notice that because of the animation style the silhouette and size of the earring changes quite a bit.
For that reason I took many captures throughout the video, and traced the frames that I liked the most.
Por descarte, escogí la silueta que mejor se adaptaba a la escala del rostro de Akame-Kun en comparación a la mía (es decir, aquella que llegaba al final de su mentón, que en mi caso, representa 8 centímetros de largo desde el lóbulo la oreja).
By discarding, I chose the silhouette that best adapted to the scale of Akame-Kun's face compared to mine (that is, the one that reached the end of his chin, which in my case, represents 8 centimeters long from the earlobe).
Con ayuda del lápiz traslade la silueta a la lámina de madera, y la repliqué 4 veces (2 para hacer unos aretes colgantes, 1 para hacer el arete idéntico al del video... y uno extra por si me equivoco) ヾ( •́д•̀ ;)ﾉ
With the help of the pencil I transferred the silhouette to the wooden sheet, and replicated it 4 times (2 to make some dangling earrings, 1 to make the earring identical to the one in the video... and an extra one in case I RUINED ANY OF THEM) ヾ( -́д-̀ ;)ﾉ
Corte todas las piezas utilizando el cutter, y como temía, por ser impaciente, dañé una de las piezas (╬☉д⊙)
I cut all the pieces using the cutter, and as I feared, being impatient, I damaged one of the pieces (╬☉д⊙)
Con más calma, fui tallando poco a poco y de una en una el margen de seguridad que dejé, apenas llegando a la línea del lápiz.
More calmly, I carved little by little and one by one the safety margin I left, barely reaching the pencil line.
Luego, lije el contorno de todas las piezas dejándolas semi ovaladas, apenas quitando el filo de sus esquinas.
Para estar segura que quedaron bien e iguales, coloqué el pequeño molde de papel sobre para una. De ver diferencias, las marque y corregí con un poco más de lija.
Then, I sanded the outline of all the pieces leaving them semi-oval, just taking the edge off the corners.
To be sure that they were well and equal, I placed the small paper mold on each one. If I saw any differences, I marked them and corrected them with a little more sandpaper.
En este caso hubiera preferido utilizar pintura al frio para cerámica, porque puedes lijarla y obtener un acabado satinado con el sellador. Pero como no tenía, pedí prestada un poco de pintura acrílica, que funciona bastante bien pero deja unas vetas desagradables en la madera.
In this case I would have preferred to use cold paint for ceramics, because you can sand it and get a satin finish with the sealer. But since I didn't have any, I borrowed some acrylic paint, which works pretty well but leaves some nasty streaks on the wood.
Para evitar esas betas, el truco es aplicar poca pintura en la primera capa. Para la segunda, aplicas una capa generosa de acrílico, pero dejas una gota de agua sobre la pintura y sobas la superficie con movimientos circulares, de dentro hacia afuera.
To avoid those streaks, the trick is to apply little paint in the first coat. For the second coat, apply a generous layer of acrylic, but leave a drop of water on the paint and rub the surface with circular movements, from the inside out.
Con unas 3 capas debe ser suficiente. Puede ser que parezca que la pieza no quedara bien porque el agua sobre ella parece diluir la pintura, pero la verdad es que la humedad se evapora rápidamente dejando solo una capa satinada casi perfecta de pintura seca.
About 3 coats should be enough. It may seem that the piece will not look good because the water on it seems to dilute the paint, but the truth is that the moisture evaporates quickly leaving only an almost perfect satin layer of dry paint.
Es recomendable dejar reposar todas las piezas durante una noche, antes de lijar suavemente con la lija N° 500 en movimientos suaves y circulares, de adentro hacia afuera y nunca haciendo presión en los bordes o esquinas.
It is advisable to let all the pieces rest for one night before sanding gently with N° 500 sandpaper in soft and circular movements, from the inside out and never pressing on the edges or corners.
Para los detalles interiores, recorte las mini-siluetas dentro del patrón original y lo utilice como plantilla sobre cada arete╰(✧∇✧╰)
For interior details, cut out the mini-silhouettes within the original pattern and use it as a template over each earring╰(✧∇✧╰)
Pinte las pequeñas decoraciones utilizando un pincel delineador fino, y deje todo reposar hasta el día siguiente antes de instalar los broches tipo anzuelo, y un zarcillo reciclado con botón de silicona.
Paint the small decorations using a fine eyeliner brush, and let everything sit until the next day before installing the hook clasps, and a recycled tendril with a silicone button.
Al final, se barnizan las piezas con un poco de sellador surpass y se dejan descansar no menos de 60 min (en la foto aún no están barnizadas porque no recuerdo donde guarde mi frasco de surpass, pero créanme que el efecto final es brillante y muy hermoso, y los hace resistentes al agua y los rayones).
At the end, the pieces are varnished with a little surpass sealer and left to rest for no less than 60 min (in the photo they are not varnished yet because I don't remember where I kept my bottle of surpass, but believe me the final effect is shiny and very beautiful, and makes them water and scratch resistant).

La imagen que ven allá arriba a la izquierda es el fotograma del que extraje el molde para los aretes. Creo que quedaron bastante parecidos, aunque admito que los alargue un poco por capricho personal.
The image you see above on the left is the frame from which I took the mold for the earrings. I think they look pretty similar, although I admit that I lengthened them a bit on a personal whim.

Casualmente mientras redacto esto, me escribió un amigo al que quiero y extraño muchísimo (es una persona que tiene un lugar muy especial en mi corazón por muchas razones), y es la principal persona en la que pienso cuando escucho esta canción.
De hecho el día que estreno y la escuche, y comencé a llorar, quería etiquetarlo para que la oyera también, pero mis inseguridades se disparan horriblemente por periodos y entro en pánico cuando pienso que puedo molestar o ser inoportuna.
El punto es que sí logró escucharla y le gusta [así que estoy feliz] (ಥ﹏ಥ) 💓
Coincidentally as I write this, a friend who I love and miss dearly (he is a person who has a very special place in my heart for many reasons) wrote to me, and he is the main person I think of when I hear this song.
In fact the day I premiered and listened to it, and started crying, I wanted to tag him so he would hear it too, but my insecurities flare up horribly for periods and I panic when I think I might be annoying or unwelcome.
