Recapitulando un poco y para los que recién me leen: Naima es una talentosa ilustradora a la que le pedí permiso hace varios años para elaborar un traje basado en una de sus ilustraciones.

Recapping a bit and for those who just read me: Naima is a talented illustrator who I asked for permission several years ago to make a costume based on one of her illustrations.

En la primera parte de esta nueva serie mostré cómo elaboré la parte de la falda y su fondo; ahora vamos con parte de los detalles del peinado, pero más importante aún:

In the first part of this new series I showed how I elaborated the skirt part and its bottom; now let's go with part of the hairstyle details, but even more important:

📌 Para elaborar estos accesorios tuve que esperar a tener casi listo el peinado de la peluca, ¿por qué?, porque necesitaba la medida de los “bollos” para conseguir el radio de los broches.
📌 Para el cuerpo de los broches, utilicé parte de 2 bolas de anime, a las que fijé con alfileres grandes unos aros que recorté de foami blanco, que serían el borde de cada broche.
📌 Marque todo el contorno, y utilizando un cutter corté lo marcado de cada bola de anime.
📌 Para lograr una superficie suave y perfectamente lisa, utilice mastique (masilla blanca para pared), lo aplique con un pedacito de esponja, y utilice mucha lija suave para pulir la superficie. Después aplique una capa de pintura acrílica color blanco, y aplique más lija suave.
📌 To make these accessories I had to wait until the wig's hairstyle was almost ready, why? Because I needed the size of the "buns" to get the radius of the brooches.
📌 For the body of the brooches, I used part of 2 polystyrene balls, to which I attached with large pins some rings that I cut out of white foami, which would be the edge of each brooch.
📌 I marked the entire outline, and using a cutter I cut out the marked part of each apolystyrene ball.
📌 To achieve a smooth and perfectly smooth surface, use mastic (white wall putty), apply it with a little piece of sponge, and use lots of soft sandpaper to polish the surface. Then apply a coat of white acrylic paint, and apply some more soft sandpaper.

📌 Antes de comenzar a pintar, le quite el relleno haciendo cóncava en su reverso a cada pieza, y forre el interior de cada uno con tela color oscuro.
📌 Después, di 3 capas de pintura metalizada a cada pieza, y recorte el excedente de tela.
📌 Los aros de foami necesitaron más capas de pintura por su textura plástica semi-porosa. Cuando estuvieron secos los pegué a las piezas principales.
📌 Before starting to paint, remove the stuffing by making each piece concave on its back, and line the inside of each one with dark colored fabric.
📌 Next, I gave 3 coats of metallic paint to each piece, and trimmed off the excess fabric.
📌 The foami rings needed more coats of paint because of their semi-porous plastic texture. When they were dry I glued them to the main pieces.
📌 Para un efecto satinado, cristalino, resistente al agua y a los golpes, recomiendo altamente utilizar SURPASS (es el tipo de resina acriplástica que se utiliza en proyectos de decopage).
📌 For a satin, crystal clear, water and shock resistant effect, I highly recommend using SURPASS (this is the type of acrylic resin that is used in decopage projects).

En persona luce mucho mejor, y su textura es realmente suave. Tiene mejor aspecto en persona, y su proporción es justo la que quería como resultado.
The finish looks like plastic!
In person it looks much better, and its texture is really smooth. It looks better in person, and its proportion is just what I wanted as a result.
La peluca en esta etapa está recogida porque tiende a enredarse con facilidad (especialmente las coletas).
Espero instalar de manera permanente los broches (utilizando alfileres en su fondo y mucho UHU) cuando la fecha de estreno este cerca.
The wig at this stage is pinned up because it tends to tangle easily (especially the pigtails).
I hope to permanently install the barrettes (using pins at their bottom and lots of UHU) when the release date is near.

| • Foami color blanco (White Foami). | • Cutter, tijeras, bolígrafo y alfileres grandes (Cutter, scissors, pen and large pins). |
| • Pegamento para madera (Wood glue). | • Pintura acrílica oro brillante (OroColor F202) - (Bright gold acrylic paint (OroColor F202). |
| • Pintura acrílica color blanco (White acrylic paint). | • Pintura acrílica rojo metálico (OroColor F207) - (Metallic red acrylic paint (OroColor F207). |
Si fuiste detallista, seguro notaste que el peinado también lleva unos pequeños tocados de pluma de perlas 🕊
Tengo todos los materiales, pero al ser las piezas más frágiles del diseño, no quiero hacerlas en este momento (temo que moviendo la peluca de un lado a otro, si alguien en casa la tropieza los romperá).
Esperare a diseñar una caja de acetato transparente a medida como estuche para la peluca, antes de hacer esos pequeños preciosos detalles 📦 ✨
If you were detailed, you surely noticed that the hairstyle also has some small pearl feather headpieces 🕊
I have all the materials, but being the most fragile pieces of the design, I don't want to make them right now (I'm afraid that moving the wig around, if someone at home trips it will break them).
I will wait to design a custom clear acetate box as a case for the wig, before I make those precious little details 📦 ✨

Muchas veces creemos que necesitamos materiales refinados y costosos para obtener resultados sobresalientes (como worbla o impresoras 3D). Y no es así.
