Idea para hacer Forros para sillas de comedor 🪑🪡🧵 [esp/eng]

Día a día me la paso buscando ideas para decorar mi hogar y así lograr que poco a poco vaya luciendo más bonito, hoy les traigo una idea sencilla para hacer unos forros de silla de comedor, en mi caso estos forros serán redondos, ven y te muestro como los hice

Day by day I spend my time looking for ideas to decorate my home and thus make it little by little look more beautiful, today I bring you a simple idea to make some dining chair covers, in my case these covers will be round, come and see I show how I made them

Las sillas de mi comedor traen en la base de sentarse un material llamado MDF, este es una imitación de madera y en realidad es como un cartón procesado y con el tiempo se deteriora mucho, quise buscarle una solucion y darles un cariñito, entonces tuve la idea de hacerles un lindo forro, para esto utilicé los siguientes materiales:

• 1 Metro de tela de 1,50 m de ancha
• goma o elástico
• Marquina de coser
• goma espuma o esponja delgada

The chairs in my dining room have a material called MDF at the base, this is an imitation of wood and is actually like a processed cardboard and over time it deteriorates a lot, I wanted to find a solution and give them a little love, so I had the idea to make them a nice lining, for this I used the following materials:

• 1 Meter of fabric
• rubber or elastic
• Sewing machine
• foam rubber or thin sponge

Como primer paso vamos a cortar nuestra tela, para esto consegui una tela muy económica en tan solo 1$ el metro y tras 1,50m de ancha, en total haré el forro para 4 sillas, cortare 4 ruedas de tela, en mi cocina conseguí una taza que es casi el mismo tamaño del sentadeto a este le aumentaré 2 cm, en total la circunferencia es de 112cm .

A parte cortaremos tiras de 9 cm. de anchas por el ancho de la tela, la goma espuma que yo estoy utilizando es de reciclaje de un viejo colchón que desarme hace un tiempo y guardaba para mis manualidades 😊, con esta corte 8 ruedas, 2 para cada silla.

As a first step we are going to cut our fabric, for this I got a very economical fabric for only $1 per meter and after 1.50m wide, in total I will make the lining for 4 chairs, I will cut 4 wheels of fabric, in my kitchen I found For a cup that is almost the same size as the cup, I will increase this one by 2 cm, in total the circumference is 112cm.

Separately we will cut 9 cm strips. wide by the width of the fabric, the foam rubber that I am using is recycled from an old mattress that I disassembled a while ago and saved for my crafts 😊, with this I cut 8 wheels, 2 for each chair.

Para el siguiente paso vamos a comenzar a coser, por cada rueda utilice 2 m de tira de tela aproximadamente, a este le haremos un pequeño ruedo, luego vamos a coser por todo el alrededor haciendo pliegues, este será el adorno de nuestros forros.

Por un momento pensé en plancharlos para que quedaran más definidos, pero luego pensé que era mejor dejarlos de esta manera ya que quedan más levantados y así se ve más bonito.

For the next step we are going to start sewing, for each wheel use approximately 2 m of strip of fabric, we will make a small hem for this, then we are going to sew all around making folds, this will be the decoration of our linings.

For a moment I thought about ironing them so that they would be more defined, but then I thought it was better to leave them this way since they are more raised and that way it looks prettier.

Para la orilla que agarrará la parte del asiento vamos a cortar una tira unos 2 cm más larga que la circunferencia de la rueda en total serán 114cm, igual de 9cm de ancha, al quedar un poco más grande no quedara tan apretada, a esta le vamos a pasar costura cerrándola en circunferencia y luego le vamos a colocar goma por toda la orilla

For the edge that will hold the part of the seat, we are going to cut a strip about 2 cm longer than the circumference of the wheel. In total, it will be 114 cm, equal to 9 cm wide. As it is a little larger, it will not be so tight. We are going to sew the seam, closing it in circumference and then we are going to put rubber along the entire edge.

En este paso uniremos la pieza que hicimos anterior a la rueda principal, le pasamos costura de refuerzo y por esta parte ya tendremos listo el forro para nuestras sillas, este procedimiento lo vamos a hacer con las cuatro sillas.

Si las sillas son cuadradas el procedimiento es el mismo sólo que vamos a hacer la figura cuadrada e igual quedará hermoso, lo importante es tomar bien las medidas de asiento y cortar la tela unos 2 cm más grande que el tamaño original.

In this step we will go to the piece that we made before the main wheel, we will sew a reinforcement seam and in this part we will have ready the lining for our chairs, we are going to do this procedure with the four chairs.

If the chairs are square, the procedure is the same, except that we are going to make the figure square and it will still be beautiful. The important thing is to take the seat measurements correctly and cut the fabric about 2 cm larger than the original size.

Antes de colocar los forros vamos a pegar las esponjas a nuestras sillas a estas primero les pasé cinta adhesiva a la madera que traen para poder fijarla bien, luego le pegué cada rueda de goma espuma con Silicon, y así pude colocarle los forros, aquí está el resultado espero les guste

Before placing the linings we are going to glue the sponges to our chairs. I first applied adhesive tape to the wood they came with to be able to fix it well, then I glued each foam rubber wheel with Silicon, and so I was able to place the linings, here it is I hope you like the result
