Hi friends. How beautiful this community of @hivediy, surely it will be very easy for me to publish my crafts in this new community. Welcome everyone, this is my first post about some sandals that I wear to be in the house that my sister gave me on Mother's Day.
They actually have a sentimental value for me, but they are also very whole and are slip resistant and I like them a lot.
Materials:
Thread,
Needle and
Flip flops.
As you can see, the sandals are detached from the sides and that makes them quite large and I can suffer a fall if I continue to wear them like this. So I decided to sew them together to repair them.
I used a Nylon thread that is very strong, ideal for these tasks. We put the thread on the needle and get ready to sew.
Each side was sewn in two parts, the bottom part separated from the top part. The bottom started with stitches from the sole to one side of the sandal. Like this until finished. There is no need to tie safety knots, you just have to pass the needle several times through the first point and thus the thread is held.
For the upper part, the seam was made by entering with the needle from the side and exiting from the top without sewing the instep strap since this could reduce the width of the sandal and prevent the foot from entering.
Ready friends, the sandals were like new. It was very easy to recover these sandals, many would have thrown them away. Whenever things are fixed, they must be repaired and recycled. I have sandals for one more time.

Hola amigos. Que hermosa esta comunidad de @hivediy, de seguro se me va a ser muy fácil publicar mis manualidades en esta nueva comunidad. Bienvenidos todos, esta es mi primera publicación sobre unas sandalias que uso para estar en la casa que me regaló mi hermana el día de las madres.
En realidad tienen un valor sentimental para mi, pero además están muy enteras y son anti resbalantes y me gustan mucho.

Como pueden observar, las sandalias están despegadas de los lados y eso hace que ellas me queden bastantes grandes y puedo sufrir una caída si las sigo usando así. Así que decidí coserlas para repararlas.
Usé un hilo de Nylon que es muy fuerte, ideal para estas labores. Colocamos el hilo en la aguja y nos disponemos a coser.
Cada lado fue cosido en dos partes, la parte de abajo separado de la parte de arriba. La parte de abajo comenzó con puntadas desde la suela hacia un lado de la sandalia. Así hasta terminar. No hay necesidad de hacer nudos de seguridad, solo hay que pasar la aguja varias veces por el primer punto y así queda sujetado el hilo.
Para la parte de arriba la costura la hice entrando con la aguja desde el costado y saliendo por la parte de arriba sin coser la tira del empeine ya que esto podría reducir el ancho de la sandalia y haría que no entre el pié.
Listo amigos, las sandalias quedaron como nuevas. Fue muy fácil recuperar estas sandalias, muchos las hubieran tirado a la basura. Siempre que tengan arreglo las cosas hay que repararlas y reciclarlas. Tengo sandalias para un tiempo más.
