Hello dear artisan friends, it's a pleasure to greet you and to be here to show you my participation in the initiative N° 16 (Special T-shirt decoration). Some time ago my partner learned to make decorations in textile vinyl through a program called Coreldraw. For this you need to place the pieces well knowing about vectors and things like that, on the sheets you have to leave a margin so that when you take them to print and pass them through the laser cutter the pieces are centered and well cut. For this decoration I am going to use those pieces of textile vinyl cut in strips and one or another figure to make details. The shirt to decorate will be one of my partner's, this is one of his favorites but as he trusts me, he decided to support me. He was very happy with the result.
Hola queridos amigos artesanos, es un placer saludarles y estar acá para mostrarles mi participación a la iniciativa N° 16 (Especial decoración de camisetas). Hace un tiempo mi pareja aprendió a hacer decoraciones en vinil textil a través de un programa llamado Coreldraw. Para esto se necesita ubicar bien las piezas saber de vectores y esas cosas, en las hojas hay que dejar un margen para que al llevar a imprimir y pasar por la cortadora láser las piezas queden centradas y bien cortadas. Para esta decoración voy a utilizar esos retazos de vinil textil cortados en tiras y una que otra figura para hacer detalles. La camisa a decorar será una de mi pareja, esta es una de sus favoritas pero como confía en mí, decidió apoyarme. Quedó muy feliz con el resultado.

Materials:
Shirt.
Textile vinyl scraps and figures.
Cutter.
Scissors.
Tweezers (optional).
Clothes iron.
Color or pencil.
2 sheets of paper.
Materiales:

Tijera.
Pinza (opcional).
Plancha de ropa.
Color o lápiz.
2 hojas de papel.
Step 1:
Place the sheets of paper in the center of the shirt, stretch it well without wrinkles and make with the color the sketch of the design without marking so much.
Note: Use a color or pencil that can be washed.
Paso 1:
Colocar las hojas de papel en el centro de la camisa, estirarla bien sin que queden arrugas y hacer con el color el boceto del diseño sin marcar tanto.
Observación: Usar un color o lápiz que se pueda lavar.
Step 2:
Start gluing the textile vinyl lines and apply heat with the iron to adhere to the fabric. The shape of this drawing is half of an owl, we will do the edges first.
Paso 2:
Empezar a pegar las líneas de vinil textil y aplicar calor con la plancha para que se adhieran a la tela. La forma de este dibujo es la mitad de un búho, haremos primero los bordes primero.
Step 3:
After making the shape of the owl we will mark the middle, I used random lines and for the eyes I used a moon shape and dots that I had left from the center of some flower shapes.
Note: Do not remove the plastic that comes with the fabric vinyl. This will be the last thing to do, otherwise the design will be damaged.
Paso 3:
Luego de hacer la forma del búho marcaremos la mitad, yo usé líneas al azar y para los ojos usé una figura de luna y puntos que me habían quedado del centro de unas figuras de flores.
Observación: No retirar el plástico que trae el vinil textil. Esto será lo último por hacer, sino se dañará el diseño.
Step 4:
Fill in the design using lines, triangulots, figures and others.
Note: If any piece of textile vinyl is on top of the other I suggest that you lift the plastic a little and then apply heat, because if you place both without removing the plastic of the one that is already glued, the one on top will not stick to the fabric but to the plastic, worth the redundancy.
Paso 4:
Rellenar el diseño usando líneas, triángulots, figuras entre otros.
Observación: Si algún retazo de vinil textil queda encima del otro te sugiero que levantes un poco el plástico de ese y ahí sí apliques calor. ya qué, si colocas ambos sin retirar el plástico del que ya está pegado, el de encima no se pegará a la tela sino al plástico, valga la redundancia.
Step 5:
Make the remaining details, and once we have finished, pass the iron all over the design and proceed to remove the plastics.
Paso 5:
Hacer los detalles restantes, y una vez hayamos terminado, pasar la plancha por todo el diseño y proceder a retirar los plásticos.
With this we have finished the design of our shirt and I think it looked very nice and my partner loved it. Con esto ya hemos terminado el diseño de nuestra camisa y pues me parece que quedó muy bonita a mi pareja le encantó.
