Si tienes retazos de organza, raso o satén quedarán muy brillantes. Generalmente las elaboro y las guardo para algún trabajo posterior, para adornar.

Procedimiento:
Recorto rectángulos de 30 centímetros de largo por 8 de ancho. Aunque pueden ser más largos y menos anchos, de esto dependerá que tan fruncidas queden las flores.
Procedure:
I cut out rectangles 30 centimeters long by 8 centimeters wide. Although they can be longer and less wide, this will depend on how puckered the flowers will be.
Hago un doblez, y con una aguja e hilo comienzo a hilvanar toda la pieza.
I make a fold, and with a needle and thread I start to baste the whole piece.
Luego puedo fruncir, pero la punta de uno de los lados la coloco al centro.
Then I can pucker, but the tip of one side I place in the center.
Luego remato al finalizar con unas puntadas.
Then I finish it off with a few stitches.
Hice varias flores de diversos colores y telas, unas más grandes y otras pequeñas.
I made several flowers of different colors and fabrics, some larger and some smaller.
Para completar el trabajo, con tela verde, marqué unas hojas. Las recorté.
To complete the work, with green fabric, I marked some leaves. I cut them out.
Pasé los bordes de cada pétalo por la hornilla de la cocina, así estos se quemarán ligeramente y la tela no se deshilacha. Se hace también mejor con una vela. Pero en ese momento no contaba con una.
I passed the edges of each petal over the stove, so they will burn slightly and the fabric will not fray. It is also best done with a candle. But I didn't have one at the time.
Al tener cada hoja verde, las fui cosiendo a cada flor, dos o tres.
As I had each green leaf, I sewed them to each flower, two or three.
