Hello community! Happy start of the week

I have spent the last two days in bed recovering from my stomach, stress and nerves caught me around, I made a couple of drawings but I consider that they were not at the height of what I have been doing, however whoever is close to me insists that it was nice and I should publish it, I do not want to disappoint them but really sometimes the drawings are beautiful sometimes not, it is also good to show that not everything is always perfect or beautiful, we are human.

I learned something from Medibang that I didn't know had that characteristic. Watching videos of sketchers, tutorials of techniques but in other programs like Paint Tool Sai, I noticed that when they made a sketch or were in the lineart they could move, modify or copy and paste a section by just selecting, in my case when I went to this I copied the entire layer then I had to delete, the truth was annoying, but I happened to use the select tool on the region and copied exactly what I wanted, I can also modify its position without affecting the rest of the sketch, it's a wonder because it simplifies the process. So today I learned something new that the tutorials don't say (at least the ones I've seen).

Looking at the Instagram feed I found this challenge and because of its simplicity I wanted to recreate it in my style, I hope you like it.

He pasado estos últimos dos días en cama recuperándome del estómago, el estrés y los nervios me agarraron por ahí, hice un par de dibujos pero considero que no me quedaron a la altura de lo que ya he venido haciendo sin embargo a vista de quien está cerca de mí insiste que quedó bonito y debería publicarlo, lo que no quiero es decepcionarlos pero realmente a veces salen bonitos los dibujos a veces no, es bueno mostrar también que no siempre todo es perfecto o bello, somos humanos.

Aprendí algo de Medibang que no sabía tuviera esa característica. Mirando videos de dibujantes, tutoriales de técnicas pero en otros programas como Paint Tool Sai, notaba que cuando hacían un boceto o estaban en el lineart podían mover, modificar o copiar y pegar una sección con solo seleccionar, en mi caso cuando acudía a esto copiaba la capa completa luego me tocaba borrar, la verdad era molesto, pero se me ocurrió usar la herramienta seleccionar sobre la región y copié exactamente lo que quería, también puedo modificar su posición sin afectar el resto del boceto, es una maravilla porque simplifica el proceso. Así que hoy aprendí algo nuevo que no dicen los tutoriales (al menos los que he visto).

Mirando el feed de Instagram encontré este reto y por su sencillez quise recrearlo a mi estilo, espero les guste.

Levia She is a Russian illustrator artist and youtuber, on Instagram she exceeds 16k subscribers, while on Youtube she exceeds 31k, how cool! doing a review on her projects I realize that she offers tutorials and provides support to growing artists, explaining techniques and trends.

Her style doesn't look like other artists I've visited, but I find it very anime - kawaii, I love her custom palette and that she uses digital watercolors a lot, as well as real ones. She is a born draftswoman who masters all kinds of drawing materials. From now on I became one of her followers after meeting her through the launch of her challenge, which apparently is just to share and capture new subscribers.

Levia Es una artista ilustradora y youtuber rusa, en Instagram supera los 16k de suscriptores, mientras que en Youtube sobrepasa los 31k, ¡Qué genial! haciendo un repaso en sus proyectos me doy cuenta que ofrece tutoriales y proporciona apoyo a los artistas en crecimiento, explicando técnicas y tendencias.

Su estilo no se parece a otros artistas que he visitado, pero me parece muy anime - kawaii, me encanta su paleta personalizada y que usa mucho las acuarelas digitales, así como reales. Es una dibujante nata que domina todo tipo de materiales para dibujar. Desde ahora me convertí en una de su seguidoras tras haberla conocido por el lanzamiento de su reto, que al parecer es solo para compartir y capturar nuevos suscriptores.

I don't know why I wanted to draw the sleeves very puffy Aladdin style, maybe because I was inspired by the hat on the head, I was also tempted to recreate a fox tail on it but I was already getting out of it.

I made the sketch to be very mischievous and came up with a winking eye.

The next step was to apply the base color over the sketch.

No sé por qué quise dibujarle las mangas muy bombaches estilo Aladín, quizá por que me inspiró el gorro en la cabeza, también tuve la tentación de recrearle una cola de zorro al mismo pero ya me estaba saliendo del asunto.

Hice el boceto que fuera muy pícara y se me ocurrió que guiñara un ojo.

El siguiente paso correspondió a la aplicación del color base sobre el boceto.

I could not take exact samples of the colors of the challenge, so I had to take a darker tone because it was very difficult to perceive the color because of the background.

This time I used a different brush for the hair, it achieved an interesting effect as you can appreciate, I liked it a lot, this brush is stippling feather, then I continued as usual applying the hair strands.

The next step the skin shading, this tone is the one I've been using lately in my designs as I liked it a lot, it's like brown skin. The pinkish tones in the challenge image didn't look good on my design.

No pude tomar muestras exactas de los colores del reto, por lo cual tenía que tomar un tono más oscuro pues se me dificultaba mucho percibir el color por el fondo.

Esta vez usé un pincel diferente para el cabello, logró un efecto interesante como puedes apreciar, me gustó mucho, este pincel es pluma de punteado, luego seguí como de costumbre aplicando las hebras de cabello.

El siguiente paso el sombreado de piel, este tono es el que he estado usando últimamente en mis diseños ya que me ha gustado mucho, es como piel morena. Los tonos rosáceos de la imagen del reto no se veían bien en mi diseño.

Because of the color degradation I couldn't differentiate the details of the shirt, so I drew a few hearts taking color samples, then I applied the shading.

I think it is more difficult to draw a single eye, I moved the position several times trying not to make it look strange, so it suffered a few modifications in terms of its sketch and lineart, the style very simple.

For the next step consisted of the elaboration of the strawberry, a heart for the fruit and three little leaves, I applied shading on it and the details, then I joined the layers and reproduced them by placing it in several parts. These worked as my text separator.

Medibang has many brushes that can help you create many effects, for the background I adjusted the cells brush a bit and got those perfect squares. To finish I added the shading on the shirt.

Por la degrades de los colores no podía diferenciar los detalles de la camisa, así que dibujé unos cuantos corazones tomando muestras de color, seguidamente apliqué el sombreado.

Creo que es más dificultoso dibujar un solo ojo, moví la posición varias veces intentando que no se viera extraño, así que sufrió unas cuantas modificaciones en cuanto a su boceto y lineart, el estilo muy sencillo.

Para el siguiente paso constó de la elaboración de la fresita, un corazón para la fruta y tres hojitas, apliqué sombreado en la misma y los detalles, luego uní las capas y las reproduje colocándola en varias partes. Las mismas funcionaron como mi separador de texto.

Medibang tiene muchos pinceles con los que puedes ayudarte a crear muchos efectos, para el fondo ajusté un poco el pincel celdas y logré esos cuadros perfectos. Para finalizar agregué el sombreado en la camisa.

Es todo chicos, haciendo un repaso en mi diseño, aprendimos nuevas formas de trabajar, unas más cómodas como siempre. Espero les guste. Que tengan un excelente inicio de semana.
