¡Navidad que viene, tradición del año!
Un saludo a todos mis queridísimos amigos de HIVE, espero que todos estén pasando una feliz semana y la navidad les esté llenando su corazón de hermosos sentimientos. Siempre hemos escuchado que la navidad es tiempo de dar y en otras partes dicen que hay más felicidad en dar que en recibir. Pues hoy estoy convencida de que eso es verdad y me siento contenta de hacer cosas lindas para regalar a mis amigas.
Aprovechando el concurso de nuestra amiga @Jennyzer, donde nos invita a crear cosas lindas de navidad con el reciclaje CREATIVE RECYCLING CHALLENGE #17 || IT'S TIME TO RECYCLE! || A Christmas for recycling! he querido elaborar un hermoso delantal para mi amiga Aracelis quien desde hace tiempo me decía que quería algo así para navidad.
Yo lo que hago es complacer y si alguien demuestra cariño por lo que hago pues me siento alagada y lo menos que puedo hacer es regalarle algo bonito hecho por mis propias manos.
Aracelis es una de mis súper amigas, es de esas personas que siempre están allí en los momentos buenos y malos, desde que la conocí sabía que quería conservar esa amistad y por eso la tengo en un rinconcito especial de mi corazón. Los amigos son para pasar momentos agradables, para reír, para que te escuchen y también los debes escuchar. Con Aracelis camino todas las tardes a la montaña y nos damos animo la una a la otra para no decaer en el intento de hacer ejercicio no solo para adelgazar sino también porque es muy importante para la salud.
Me gusta su amistad, con ella me siento cómoda, no tengo que cambiar nada en mí, me acepta con mis locuras, mi forma de hablar, no me crítica y me brinda su afecto y cariño. Ojala en mi vida existieran más Aracelis. Doy gracias a Dios por tener esa amiga especial.
Manos a la obra
Pues bien amigos, todos ustedes saben que me encanta reciclar y desde que supe de este concurso no he podido parar; reciclar es una aventura muy bonita donde construyes algo hermoso de lo que muchos creen no sirve para nada. En este caso he realizado un delantal navideño con un jean que estaba todo desgastado en la entre pierna, así que tomé lo que servía y voila aquí está el resultado. Así que sin más preámbulo les invito a ver este sencillo paso a paso.
Materiales que utilicé:
- Jean viejo
- tela navideña para combinar
- cinta zigzag
- máquina de coser
- Tijera, aguja e hilo
Paso a paso
Lo primero que vamos hacer es sacar el modelo de delantal que queremos elaborar, hay delantales más grandes que se sujetan del cuello, pero esta vez quise hacer uno pequeño. Aunque busqué modelos en internet no conseguí mucha variedad.
Luego cortamos el volante; por suerte conseguí entre mis retazos de tela esta tira con motivo navideño que me quedo como anillo al dedo. Aquí lo realmente importante es que sea el doble de lo que mide el delantal.
Realizamos el fruncido al volante y lo enfrentamos derecho con derecho por todo el borde, pasamos costura recta y zigzag.
Nota: siempre les recomiendo que primero basteen con puntadas largas de aguja e hilo para fijar muy bien todo en la tela principal, así estarás más seguro de que tu trabajo quedará muy bien y no se moverá al momento de llevarlo a la máquina de coser.
Por ultimo colocamos los detalles decorativos y una pretina tipo sesgo ancho y muy largo para realizar un lindo lazo en la parte posterior.
Resultado final

We have always heard that Christmas is a time of giving and elsewhere they say that there is more happiness in giving than in receiving. Well, today I am convinced that this is true and I feel happy to make nice things to give to my friends.
Taking advantage of the contest of our friend @Jennyzer, where she invites us to create nice Christmas things with recycling CREATIVE RECYCLING CHALLENGE #17 || IT'S TIME TO RECYCLE! || A Christmas for recycling! I wanted to make a beautiful apron for my friend Aracelis who has been telling me for a long time that she wanted something like this for Christmas.
What I do is to please and if someone shows affection for what I do, I feel flattered and the least I can do is to give her something nice made by my own hands.
Aracelis is one of my super friends, she is one of those people who are always there in good and bad times, since I met her I knew I wanted to keep that friendship and that's why I have her in a special corner of my heart. Friends are to spend pleasant moments, to laugh, to listen to you and you should also listen to them. With Aracelis I walk every afternoon to the mountain and we encourage each other not to give up trying to exercise not only to lose weight but also because it is very important for our health.
Hands to work
Well friends, you all know that I love to recycle and since I learned about this contest I have not been able to stop; recycling is a very nice adventure where you build something beautiful from what many believe is useless. In this case I have made a Christmas apron with a jean that was all worn out in between the legs, so I took what was useful and voila here is the result. So without further ado I invite you to see this simple step by step.
Materials I used:
- Old jean
- Christmas fabric to match
- zigzag ribbon
- sewing machine
- scissors, needle and thread
Step by step
The first thing we are going to do is to take out the model of apron we want to make, there are larger aprons that are attached to the neck, but this time I wanted to make a small one. Although I looked for models on the internet I didn't get much variety.
Then we cut the frill; luckily I found among my fabric scraps this strip with a Christmas motif that fit me like a glove. Here the really important thing is that it is twice the size of the apron.
We make the gathering to the flounce and face it right side to right side all around the edge, we pass straight and zig zag stitching.
Note: I always recommend that you first use long stitches with needle and thread to fix everything on the main fabric, this way you will be more sure that your work will be very well and will not move when you take it to the sewing machine.
Finally we place the decorative details and a wide and very long bias waistband to make a nice bow on the back.
