My greetings to the people of HIVE!
Today I bring to you a craft that is extremely satisfying to do. It's called the craft of resin. Today, epoxy resin is widely available at various hardware stores and art supply stores. Art and craft enthusiasts, or people involved in making products for home decor, jewelry designers, toy makers, or just someone who is looking up for a new hobby.
Craft emerges out of needs. When people started to realize how easy it is to make products from epoxy resin, they started to experiment and make things that were aesthetically appealing and useful at the same time.
from a small piece of jewelry and decor pieces to furniture pieces or space-making crafts.
Let's go through the process and see what we need in order to make something in resin.
Art supplies-
I use epoke's epoxy resin.
So starting up with mixing epoxy and hardener, usually whatever brand of epoxy you buy there is a direction of the mixing ratio written on the pack.
!IMPORTANT!
Wear disposable gloves before pouring resin as it gets very stick if you don't.
After 24 hours the epoxy hardens and you can take the product out of the mold.
Sometimes it depends on your design and the product that you wish to make and so you need other different supplies. Like I did when I made the coster. Using glitter and dried flower.
Ready to use coster.
I usually dry flowers and draw little illustrations to pour them with the liquid and the results are beautiful.
Preserving dried flowers is what I absolutely love and enjoy the most. ❤️
TRY THIS CRAFT, MAKE THINGS FOR YOUR HOME, DO SOME FUN ACTIVITIES WITH YOUR FAMILY AND KIDS. ALSO, SHOW ME WHAT YOU COME UP WITH.
HAVE FUN!
