Teaching kids to draw 3D shapes. Cube.

Hi there,

I will be sharing process photos of how to draw a cube.

As always first we make a light sketch. We have to use perspective rules to build our cube. For that we use a horizon line and 2 focus points where parallel lines of our cube would intersect. We are looking at our cube slightly from the top, so it’s lower than horizon line (our eyes’ level).

Next, we made the sides that are closer to us thicker.

The last part is most challenging is hatching or shading.
We have to show where the light and shades are, that would make it even more 3D like.
