Today I am quite happy to show the final result of a kitchen furniture that I put together, I am starting my life from scratch, I separated myself from everything and I am on my own way alone very far from what was my home with my mother, I am on my own totally and in another country looking for a better life, and today I want to share my entire process of assembling a piece of furniture, I bought it in a store in a mall so it comes disassembled.
Hoy estoy bastante feliz de mostrar el resultado final de un estante de cocina que armé, yo estoy empezando mi vida desde cero, me separé de todo y estoy en mi propio camino sola muy lejos de lo que fue mi hogar con mi madre, estoy por mi cuenta totalmente y en otro país buscando una vida mejor, y hoy quiero compartir todo mi proceso de armar un mueble, lo compré en una tienda de un centro comercial por lo que viene desarmado.
When I bought it I thought it would be just a box but they were two quite heavy boxes I must admit that I got help to carry all this because it was really heavy for me, it is a very nice white piece of furniture, I want to build my kitchen and my whole home with white, black colors and gray.
Al comprarlo pensé que sería solamente una caja pero fueron dos cajas bastante pesadas debo admitir que obtuve ayuda para cargar todo esto porque era realmente pesada para mí, es un mueble blanco muy lindo, quiero construir mi cocina y todo mi hogar con colores blancos, negros y grises.
The first step was to identify all the pieces, so everything was taken out of its box and placed on the walls or on the floor.
El primer paso fue identificar todas las piezas, por lo que todo fue sacado de su caja y colocado en las paredes o en el piso.
Then you had to read the instructions and I thought I might be quite lost because the instructions are just like reading pictures but it doesn't say anything else, they are just figures and numbers and the name of the part, that's all. It's like good there are your drawings and there you are.
Luego había que leer las instrucciones y pensé que podría estar bastante perdida porque las instrucciones es sólo como leer dibujos pero no dice nada más, sólo son figuras y números y el nombre de la pieza, eso es todo. Es como bueno ahí están tus dibujos ya ahí arreglatelas tú solo.
But eventually everything was falling into place, the first piece to assemble was the bottom part, the funny thing about this is that I had not noticed that the pieces have a small number on the side in order to identify them much faster, guess what I was doing, measuring each piece to see if they were the ones that matched, LOL.
Pero eventualmente todo fue entrando en su lugar, la primera pieza por armar fue la parte de abajo, lo más gracioso de esto es que no me había fijado que las piezas traen un pequeño número al costado en orden de identificarlas mucho más rápido, adivinen que estaba haciendo, medir cada pieza para saber si eran las que coincidían, LOL.
Then put the top part together and basically with that everything else was pretty easy.
Luego armar la parte de arriba y básicamente ya con eso todo lo demás era bastante fácil.
I had a problem and broke a piece of wood that joins three pieces itself, so that delayed me a day while I was looking for a way to remove the stuck piece (which I couldn't) and replace the missing pieces, in the end it was all improvised to repair that error.
Tuve un problema y rompí una pieza de madera que une en sí tres piezas, por lo que eso me retrasó un día mientras buscaba la forma de sacar el pedazo atorado (lo cual no pude) y reponer las piezas faltantes, al final fue todo improvisado para reparar ese error.
The next thing was to assemble the piece, join the bottom part with the top part and then place the back part.
Lo siguiente fue montar la pieza unir la parte de abajo con la de arriba para luego colocar la parte de atrás.
One of the last things was to fit the drawers and doors, install the rails and their hinges.
Una de las últimas cosas fue colocar los cajones y las puertas, instalar los rieles y sus bisagras.
After that everything was ready and I was already loving it.
Después de eso todo estaba listo y ya estaba amándolo.
